what is the repetitive mentioning about quasi cash about?

It only happens to transactions done in gambling places like casino
or race course.

it doesnot apply to big pay. getting cashback for the top up.

very customer centric and responsive! thumbup.gif

Def need to have Business Continuity contingency plan next round or back up server in case one fails. Second one can be activated immediately.

Down time seems to have happen more frequent lately and many spending to be done for festive season is gonna be a big loss for BP!

Operations isnt as easy as it looks.

Surely there are more than 10k users and even just 0.5% of the users chatting with the CS, dont you guys think that it would inadvertently occupy all of them assumming there is 50 CS working on a weekend?

Plus, CS is a liability- they dont make money unless selling something. Please be nice. They did not cause the disruptions nor can they fixed it immediately. They are the bridge connecting the problems to a solution. Burn the bridge and ya gonna rot at the corner.

Anyway, With the frequent encounters on BP Downtime, it seems best to avoid top ups on weekend. Hopefully those are aware can prepare for this in future.

Did anybody experience difference between the balance show on the BigPay app and the balance you should have if you download all the transactions and sum it in Excel?

When I sum up all my transactions I have a bigger balance than the one shown in the app. The difference is more than RM200  ohmy.gif  rclxub.gif
*
Some pending transactions is there.

Or certain transactions showing as 0.00 while it supposedly have different amount.

This happened back in Nov to January transaction. See if yours is the same affected period.

Are pending transactions considered into the balance calculation?

How about declined transactions?
*
Yes. Pending are taking into balance calculation.

For those declined ones, you need to filter them out from excel sheet.

Then it should tally up...

Good luck 😂

Suspect Their machine does not accept foreign cards / prepaid cards.

so as PBB.

And no need wait- can ask BP To issue new card will be easier than going back and forth waiting cisco to unload their machine and retrieve the card.

I tried both SCB cards and same thing.

There are chances your Card being eaten by the ATM machines oversea. You wouldnt want to spend one full day of your vacation to make police report and doing paper work with bank just to retrieve your card.
I not sure about other countries but in Thai, you will be crazy even you can converse well in thai. They will tell you they going to destroy the card even they took it out from the machine.
The reason is they cant verify your identity and they will ask you to do a police report, and chances are 50/50 to get your card back from them depending their mood and who you deal with at that moment.
The safest to use BP when oversea is always swipe only. Thats the safest method, withdrawal i tend to keep the conversion below RM3000 to play safe.
*
Most banks don’t maintain their own machine. They are taken care by third party.

Even in Msia not many can get the card back. So just report lost first and request a new one when back.

Those machine are programmed to trigger alert and trap those cards like expired card / weird and suspicious card etc to avoid dispensing cash that cannot be recouped.

So no need to put so much effort to ask for same card back.

Hi all,

My name is Alex and I am the Lead UX Designer for BigPay. In the product team, which I am part of, we have strong focus on the user so we can bring your needs into the app.

As I join this channel please let me know your views on the product, your frustrations, or give any feedback you think is relevant.

I will do my best to keep you guys updated on new features, and to answer any questions you might have about the product. ie. unclear information, difficult to understand actions in app, desired features etc.

Looking forward to hear your thoughts  icon_rolleyes.gif

Not sure if anyone realise there is chat issue.

Let’s say if you chat up with an issue with the cs and leave it for reply later on (ie: exit the app), there will be notification that cs has replied your issue.

But for that respond, sometimes it doesn’t show up in app. So had to wait for the email notification subsequently to see what was the response after a couple of hours.

Maybe there is an error somewhere needs a little tweak.

This is on Apple iOS for both iPhone 8 and X.

Yes the community has help me understand the nature of this card tremendously, what i would like to know is why are there different limits to withdrawal from different bank atm (some even outright reject card), is it respective bank's regulation or big pay's card limitation ?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Sorry to hijack your post guys but would like to add some

4. An option to toggle in app to be just like a debit or credit card feature where anything above RM250 have to use pin but anything below RM 250 can use
contactless without limit meaning i can do multiple RM 250 or below purchases in a day with a certain time frame in between like ex. 5mins
I too would like to have the feature Jonathan mentioned enabled/introduce without daily limit (up to card standard 10k limit)
*
Withdrawal limitation lies on the respective banks. They want to control their cash flow and maintenance of the atm.

For the contactless limit, it was BNM policy as a protection to cardholders. When this was first introduced, majority kpkb about its security etc. Now many enjoying the convenience.

Suggest to raise this to BNM for future consideration to increase the limit. The contactless limit is not on big pay alone. (Stating the obvious)

The card limit remains at 10k. I’ve made multiple transactions up to 10k without any issue, Unless it’s the rejection or downtime.

Facing same issue.

Let the cs know about it and let them know that’s your own card.

They need to whitelist the mentioned card.

Add > remove > cannot add back. The cs said they have this security feature that don’t allow the card to be added to multiple accounts. At the same time doesn’t allow the cardholder to add back the same card too if they chose to remove it.

do not confused the "ATM LIMIT" message shown on the atm. it's just the limit it can dispense, at the moment, aka not enough notes for your request.

it does not mean ATM has set the withdrawal limit.

i've withdrawn from hlb atm rm4k few days ago. no issue.

also take note now is weekend, pay day, new month, school holiday, raya shopping spree ... all within this short period.
topup can get points immediately because money is in your account.

purchases from bp will need to wait until SETTLED status (aka FINAL status) so that the transaction is fully complete from all relevant parties. then points will be awarded. there are many reason why transactions will be failed too, so bp doesnt award points immediately and later need clawback (tedious to do/track/reconcile).
*
The new HLB interface with the all touch screen one is limited to 2k now... only older ones can do 4K.

I was at the HLB PJ branch queuing earlier and one of staff came over to assist as I tried different atm twice. She said new interface limit is 2k. She suggested to do multiple withdrawals.

Will try again sometime next week to see if this is the case.
