because it is better to have cash on hand. I go with a group. example if we need to buy entrance ticket, then one person pay first, the rest pay him a cash.
or sometimes we go to 7-11 buy small items. takkan also using BP card?
and, I did read some post here. Some shop doesn't accept BP card or they may have additional charges.
If you are based on Seoul City or other City , most of them accept card
My travel just finished from 2~12th in Busan, Seoul and some small area like jeonju and gyeonju.
They even accept less than 1,000 won using card (7-11, CU store, etc).
For them easy also cause just plug in the card into device, straight process.
Only thing u need to notice is, make sure ur phone install with BigPay App.
Due to our card dun have name printed on it, duty free shop asked us to prove that BP card is ours.
So i show the App with my name and "freeze card" that tab with BP last 4 digit.
Overall, using BigPay in korea isnt an issue except certain market places where they accept cash only.
I did read some post here. Some shop doesn't accept BP card or they may have additional chargesI dun see any reason they charge additional

they treat it as CC only.
But it's your choice also. I'm happy that i take this challenge to use BP card all the way during the trip.
I only brought 200k won for this 11 days trip btw

One side note: The app will instant show "pending" figure of exchanged rate and from there, you may ask ur group to pay you MYR if u prefer

Just do some math to divide.
