Each to their own, there is no replacement to displacement henceforth 2.5 was a more valid choice in my case, after all we pay road tax once a year and additional RM400 too much of a pinch comparative to 2.0. Fuel consumption has been fair so far a full tank gives me approx 580km mostly highways and not many stop and go traffic.
Price is not far off the 2.2D I agree but I am looking forward for ease of use when refiling the tank and I already have a pickup, ease of engine maintenance is a priority. Avoiding another diesel vehicle was a need for me. Otherwise after owning the car for a few months now, I don't miss LAS, LDWS, DAA and what not. BSM is just nice.
On tap I have sufficient power especially on hilly roads, Loving every second driving it and that's what matters
Agreed. A happy owner of 2.5GLS. Not into turbo tbh as my past experience with one kinda takes away the fun of going thru the revs as with an NA.Price is not far off the 2.2D I agree but I am looking forward for ease of use when refiling the tank and I already have a pickup, ease of engine maintenance is a priority. Yes, it's an SUV but hey, if it's JUST an SUV, we won't be buying a CX-5 would we? For that price, you'd get a bigger spaced CR-V though agility of the CX-5 is quite surprising IMHO. It's also my first SUV.
