The first 10 minutes coming out of the showroom is a little awkward since i'm still not use the car size. But once on the highway it was awesome. The comfort of driving the car, and the handling is worth every ringgit spent on it.

Home minister still do not know that i've taken the car yet. Will surprise her tomorrow since we both on leave. Hahaha...

Hey guys, does anyone experiencing losing engine oil with 2.5t variant? Currently my car is clocked in at 19k km, still 1k away from my next service schedule, but today suddenly low engine oil warning popped out on my instrument panel, after checking the dipstick, indeed the engine oil is running low, which makes me wonder whether is the engine makan the engine oil or is this possible the SC has filled insufficient engine oil during my previous service? Or perhaps there’s something went wrong with my car?
Previously my car comes with Shell Helix Ultra engine oil, 10k km no issue at all, now using petronas syntium and facing this issue, may I know if this is normal for 2.5T to lose engine oil?

2018 2.2D owner here, just wanted to add a data point... bought the car since January 2019 and driven 115k km.

So 2 weeks ago I sent the car to Mazda 3S workshop for inspection as I experienced power loss after exiting toll and also noticed the temperature gauge is more than 100c at the time. A week later the workshop called me and said my engine has "bengkok" due to overheating and need a new engine replacement. Quoted price was 18k++. Did not agree to it outright and requested for HQ to replace it FOC.

Today they called again and said HQ is willing to give a 25% discount 

I believe this is the infamous 2.2D head gasket failure and yet the workshop does not dare to admit it's a design issue with the engine.

Who knows. Month ago, it happened to be one 2.2D blown for the 1st time at around 200k mileage in Taiwan.

So it depends on your luck.

So just enjoy if u drive a brand new 2.2D. Its really a good car. But avoid 2nd hand like a plague. There was a johor guy who bought a 2.2D CX-5 AWD, used, went install paddle shift, then drive for less then a week. Then kaboom. SC said it is used car, so need to pay urself for new engine, true story, not made up.

AT gear and CVT gear not the same. CVT don't really have "gear" as per se

Got another case GB kong for one Diesel owner, his mileage at 102k km. Never change the atf following Mazda standard. Lucky for him, he can claim new GB under warranty even above 100k km mileage capped, need to pay rm500 for others related to gb change service.

In short, just change ATF if wanna hold the car for long term. Source CX5 FB group
