Will be taking delivery of my cx5 2.0 High this week. Itching to change to 19" rims. Apparently SA said it won't void the warranty. Bad idea?
*
Seriously u know why the bigger rim only available on higher powered engine ? Coz the base 2 liter kinda low power low torque and will deminish driving experience.

So save your money la no point change big rims u will feel sluggishness

If there is oil in gbox then it has to be changed. No such thing as lifetime unless its lifetime is 5 years and die

Ford poweshift dryclutch also had similar approach but guess what ? Yeah gearbox failure

Bmw Malaysia also make theirs as seal for life ATF (old gen, not sure current gen) even though the gb maker ZF even recommended to make atf change after certain km. This free service parts and labour want to make more profit? Bmw Malaysia also give free labor and part

Well thats true as more try to squeeze more from thier free manteinance, they propose cheaper option

I will definitely change my gearbox oil at 40k or 50k max

5 year warranty after that gbox kong jilake

Hi, would like to ask, anyone encounter front wheel knocking noise when passed through uneven road, and it is noticeable at passenger side.

Car year 2021, 2.0 High model. Mileage clocked about 12k, but already encounter this issues, quite disappointed with the build quality on a 150k-ish car.

Contacted HQ, but need appointment on weekdays to perform checking, which I don't have the time to do so. Hence asking members here if anyone encountered before, and mind to share the solutions.

*Just to get prepared before sent in the car for diagnosis.

Thank you.
*
I have this issue but when i hit big bump at slow speed like a knock

Plan to send service in 30k service and fix

My First Stock Battery has stand for around 3 years before the warning light show up.. that one if not mistaken is wet cell type, then i change it with Amaron Dry cell Brand by early 2021 and the Warning Light just came out Last Saturday. but after drive for few hours, it came off.. i reckon its due to keep it sleep for about a week before the warning light up. But usually this is sign the battery is start to getting weak and prepared to buy new one really soon.
this time i will choose Wet Sell again for sure!. nod.gif  nod.gif

Thanks for sharing that. Will consider next replacement as no discounts from mazda after first replacement and 700 buck for battery abit of overkill

is 2.2d engine problem free? compared to the 2.5

i saw from carlist the used 2.2d price quite attractive.
*
Diesels are robust engines usually the one that break are those plastic hoses etc due to heat over a period of time as diesels are generally hotter than petrol

But ya it’s a workhorse engine

Anyone owning a 2.2D variant here? Planning to sell after the hearing the news about the diesel subsidies?

I'm considering selling mine off and getting the 2.0 variant if the diesel ends up being too damn expensive.
*
Isn’t price per km still cheaper ? Long range , good torque is plus point

I have the 2l high and I feel the engine has a lot to be desired. Wish it was diesel but yea I have another diesel and the from 0 palm oil to b5 to b7 and I’ve seen Perron has b10 is a reason for concern. Only pump at station which has b7 euro5 minimum

One day may run out of choice and will definitely have injector issues

Which part is BS? 2.5T heavy fuel consumption this is true, dont try to say its not

2.2D engine issues, indeed some owners encounter issues after long run, some did not. Its all over owners group. As I said maybe Mazda resolved it

2.5 NA best engine, this is my own opinion
*
What issue encountered by diesel engine ?

Diesel engine is robust and most diesel car can run 400 to 500 thousand km without issue

Usually problem is with turbo or poor maintenance is the reason. But do share what is the issue as I am a diesel fan.

for other brand yes Diesel is reliable, example BMW diesel 320D and 520D. On Mazda many face diesel engine blown head gasket, until recently they give additional warranty for the engine. still need to fork out few K for puspakom thingy after change new engine under warranty.
*
Blown gasket ? Is it cast iron block ? Usually diesel engine bulletproof even to piston level due to significant pressure as opposed to petrol engine

I guess modern diesel if using aluminium block this is where problems will crop up
