need to wait how long if order now? got long waiting list?

looking at 2.0GLS.

Most likely you will get it in October, but since Bermaz said they will absorb SST for bookings made before Sept 1, go book it if you don't mind the waiting period... smile.gif
(P.S. Don be surprise if u need to wait longer to get the car cus so far Bermaz is the only car dealer they say will absorb SST)

Hi,

I have been a silent reader on this thread and I have browsed through every post including those in V1.

I am very interested in buying CX-5 2.2D but I could not find specifically info on any post-Raya promotions. I would like to buy before SST kicks in (though I have read some dealers would be willing to absorb it nonetheless). I just thought I could get some nice deals within this tax holiday period.

So any SA's here are very much welcome to message me. Thank you and apologize in advance should my reply violate any rules in here.
*
At this moment, there are no promo or discount for cx-5 because of overwhelming response and shortage of stock...
Bermaz (Mazda Malaysia) have already annouced that they will absorb SST for the bookings made before 31st Aug but from what I've heard from my SA is that booking confirmed AND loan approved then only Bermaz will absorb the SST....

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Oh well, guess I'm out of luck and running out of time to get everything done before August 31st.. I also heard from an agent that 2.2D 4WD is currently unavailable. I will be waiting for the next "tax holiday period" then, finger-crossed. Or I will just keep driving my 10-year old Myvi into the ground.

Quick question, which CRV variant comparable to CX-5 2.2D 4WD in term of handling and overall satisfaction? Cargo space notwithstanding.

Thanks!
*
If u don mind just wait till end of the year to get some good discount cus even if u booked now the waiting period is at least 2-3 months time....
CR-V can't be compare with cx-5 in terms of driving dynamics, CR-V is more on the family SUV type while CX-5 is on the sporty type.
Like to vroom vroom in highway or touge to Genting? Better take CX-5 cool2.gif

Buying a mazda for my wife, still undecided which one to go for, cx3 2.0, cx5 2.0 or cx5 2.2.

Currently shes driving a honda city, would prefer diesel so that we can go for long trips, but a bit sceptical of long term usage.

Thanks for any suggestion
*
CX-3 is just too small for me....
Mostly city usage? Then cx5 2.0 is the choice, power is enough unless you always tekan full throttle...
50% of highway drive? Then take the diesel...
Of course diesel is more powerful and more fuel efficient than the petrol but keep in mind that it also has higher maintenance cost and you would need to pay extra RM 15k for it...
Most important thing is how much is your budget?? If all of them is affordable, then just take the highest spec diesel CX-5 biggrin.gif

Thanks for the advice, a very sound one too. Well im sorry that i left out the 2.5 from the equation, but it seems that most people in here go for 2.2 and 2.0, why is that ?
*
2.0 - well equipped with modern day technology, stylish looking, premium cabin interior, driving dynamics, bored of H & T brand and wanted to try something new,....
2.2 - more power, save fuel (which I don really agree as u pay 15k for it so at the end it doesn't really "save fuel"), advance safety features (only thing tht is missing is Mazda Radar Cruise Control which is available in other country except Malaysia)

still undecided, tested the tiguan today, very spacious and good torque but service cost pretty high
*
turbocharged engine + conti car = don expect the maintenance cost is similar to the sushi brands
Well u still got 4 days time left to decide biggrin.gif or else just wait to year end as car dealers will throw out big promo

Hi guys, any promo going on for cx5?
*
Just wait till end of the year if you want promo...
Since SST already implemented, no point to buy now cause you still have to wait at least 3 months to get your car bangwall.gif

Wow, everyone seems to be in a agreement of CRV for bigger boots and cabin space.
Unfortunately, wife didn't like CRV. Went to Audi but only got Q3, Q5 no stock until next year. Planning to drop by Mazda showroom tomorrow to test CX5 again kaw kaw, will bring my daughter's carseat and probably a luggage to gauge its boot space.
*
Since you have the budget to purchase an Audi, why don't consider CX-9? It is big and powerful enough... biggrin.gif

I am very confusing now. My SA just called me up today, saying my car has arrive, but with conditions below:

1) Without Machine Grey, only Meteor Grey.
2) No power boot.
3) If wait next batch maybe 2018 year end

So the SA advised me to think carefully, either take car now, or rather take 2019 batch with power boot, but price add SST, approx 145k.
PS: price now is 141K....
How????????? Need advise!!!
*
Will suggest you to take 2019 batch...
Even if you get now and install aftermarket powerboot will also cost 2-3k and warranty only 1 year while factory fitted come with 5 years, price difference is only 3-4k compare to 0% GST period and SST, depends on whether you want to wait that long or not hmm.gif

Finally getting my CX-5 2.2D FWD (with auto tailgate) next week after 3 months plus of waiting biggrin.gif
BTW, the 10th character on my chassis number is 'K' so does that mean the year of manufacturing is 2019?

It is a bit hard to push back compare to my 2 previous car. Try push harder?

Lol, i get the car 1 week earlier than you. Also many small problem. But the drive train is really good.
*
It's not tht im not pushing hard enough, its the center rear seat doesn't attached to the left rear seat plus it doesn't hv the "click" sound when its attached like the one on the left and right rear seat. Im guessing something jammed inside the lock, will take to SC tomorrow to hv a check unsure.gif ...
Oh BTW, do you feel the factory fitted powerboot opening and closing sound is loud?

UPDATE: My rear center seats problem have been solved rclxms.gif
Done a few "upgrades" from JL as others don't have or need to order the stock I want. Below are the price if those who are interested to get some stuffs from him...

1. IROAD X9 - RM 1392 (cus i buy many things from him otherwise is 1450)
2. Chrome Door Visor - RM 188
3. Rear Bumper Guard - RM150
4. Engine Sound Proofing - RM450 (ori price is 600, but this month got promotion so is 480 but bought so many things from him ady so he discount a bit more)
5. Brake Pedal Lock - RM320 (Others accesories shop tht I asked is selling RM380 but I'm not sure got discount or not)
6. Mud flap - F.O.C

Total damage done: RM2500 cry.gif

Conclusion:
Price is cheaper than the ones I asked (accessories shops, not online china brand website) and the workmanship is good even though there's only one worker on duty he still able to complete everything in less than 2hrs. Quality wise is good but there are few things that I want to point out, during night the iroad dash cam isn't that good as I can't really see the plate number of cars from the rear but the front is fine (maybe is due to brightness settings) and you also will get wind noise which is quite noticeable around 100km/h after install the door visor. The only thing I dislike is you have to heard JL talk cock from start to finish sweat.gif

TIPS: If you really want to go buy some stuffs from him, tell him you from far away travel to his shop just to buy things from him and he will give you some discount. (No guarantees but it works for me) icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi, how did you get the rear center seats problem fixed?
*
As previous stated, my center rear seat can't be put back after release it, the left and right have no problem. Turns out to be the clip or lock inside stuck, bring it to SC and mechanic fixed it..
