Meaning outside (exterior) the 2.5 variant has a bigger rim size. That's the only difference I can spot between then 2.5 and 2.0 GLS.

Correct. IMO it's not worth going for 2.5.

Why? Here's my 2 cents.

1. You gotta pay more road tax than 2.0.
2. You get less power and FC compared to 2.2 D
3. You don't get full safety tech like 2.2D like lane departure assist (LAS), lane departure warning system (LDWS), driver attention alert (DAA) and adaptive front lighting system (AFS)
4. The price difference between 2.5 and 2.2D is very small, yet you are missing out everything
5. FC for 2.5 is not as good as 2.0 if you are driving in city most of the time due to higher cc but stuck in traffic
6. The only good thing is the maintenance and repairing cost is lower than 2.2D but like chinese saying, if you are already paying for the chicken might as well pay for the kicap

So my 2 cents here is that if you want power go for 2.2D. If you drive in city most of the time and don't mind the power, go for 2.0 GLS.

SUV is heavier than sedan so 2.0 might not give you the zoom zoom power you wanted compared to a 2.0 sedan. That's why some people who wants a SUV and also zoom zoom power will opt for 2.2D

Try HQ... Last time I was there, I did see a bunch of CX-5s available for test drives. You can actually call any of the branches first and request/confirm model availability before heading out there. Beware though, some of their sales men are still quite tipu one.. Will say it's there, but upon getting there.. suddenly got story of it not being there anymore.. Happened to me at 2 different branches during my initial hunt.. Really no ethics one, those guys.. But thing is, if you've seen any GLS, it's all the same.. So if it's the engine you want to test, just drive the non-GLS variant if available..

Most likely you will get it in October, but since Bermaz said they will absorb SST for bookings made before Sept 1, go book it if you don't mind the waiting period...
(P.S. Don be surprise if u need to wait longer to get the car cus so far Bermaz is the only car dealer they say will absorb SST)

As far as I know there's no default off, then activate back manually when you want.

We can off it permanently though.

There is a very economical way to do it.

Stuck a piece of paper and make the button stuck. Instant off everytime u start the engine.

I'm quite surprised with the FC. Its much better that what I expected.

My previous car, a sedan 1.6 only can get around 12km/l

After been driving for a month, 60% city 40% highway, able to get around 13.5-14.0km/l, which is quite impressive imo

P/S: i travel around 100km per day (on average) during weekdays.
