QUOTE(Duckies @ Jul 20 2018, 10:23 AM) Meaning outside (exterior) the 2.5 variant has a bigger rim size. That's the only difference I can spot between then 2.5 and 2.0 GLS. so it is only 2.5L engine and RIM size? (thats what I get from comparing specsheet from official pdf). I was looking for anynthing I miss. The information comes from paultan website itself. |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jul 20 2018, 10:37 AM) Correct. IMO it's not worth going for 2.5. Nice! thanks for the in depth comparison. You should put it on TS.Why? Here's my 2 cents. 1. You gotta pay more road tax than 2.0. 2. You get less power and FC compared to 2.2 D 3. You don't get full safety tech like 2.2D like lane departure assist (LAS), lane departure warning system (LDWS), driver attention alert (DAA) and adaptive front lighting system (AFS) 4. The price difference between 2.5 and 2.2D is very small, yet you are missing out everything 5. FC for 2.5 is not as good as 2.0 if you are driving in city most of the time due to higher cc but stuck in traffic 6. The only good thing is the maintenance and repairing cost is lower than 2.2D but like chinese saying, if you are already paying for the chicken might as well pay for the kicap So my 2 cents here is that if you want power go for 2.2D. If you drive in city most of the time and don't mind the power, go for 2.0 GLS. As for 2.2D, i dont think I wanted 2.2D. 2.0 is good enough for me. It s a SUV, why we need power on a SUV if it is mostly city drive, just get a high speed sport sedan. |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jul 20 2018, 11:05 AM) Yea I've included in my first page already. different people have diff need I guess. SUV is heavier than sedan so 2.0 might not give you the zoom zoom power you wanted compared to a 2.0 sedan. That's why some people who wants a SUV and also zoom zoom power will opt for 2.2D Unlike 2.5L, the price gap between 2.0GLS vs 2.2D is there, to make 2.0L worth considering. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jul 21 2018, 09:27 PM) Try HQ... Last time I was there, I did see a bunch of CX-5s available for test drives. You can actually call any of the branches first and request/confirm model availability before heading out there. Beware though, some of their sales men are still quite tipu one.. Will say it's there, but upon getting there.. suddenly got story of it not being there anymore.. Happened to me at 2 different branches during my initial hunt.. Really no ethics one, those guys.. But thing is, if you've seen any GLS, it's all the same.. So if it's the engine you want to test, just drive the non-GLS variant if available.. thats why it is better to go to the place always guarantee available one. Not interested in arranging like that because I am pretty sure I am not the only guy looking for it atm in this hot season. have to try GLS version to know the features, then have to drive 2.0 to see if enough power for city drive to feel if too sluggish or not. QUOTE(Not A GTR fanboy @ Jul 22 2018, 10:40 PM) Most likely you will get it in October, but since Bermaz said they will absorb SST for bookings made before Sept 1, go book it if you don't mind the waiting period... thats year end already lol(P.S. Don be surprise if u need to wait longer to get the car cus so far Bermaz is the only car dealer they say will absorb SST) |

QUOTE(nebula87 @ Aug 15 2018, 12:02 PM) of coz. actually, I went asked for Honda CRV, they all said longer waiting time. Then I come test drive CX-5, it seems so much better in handling. And it is my friend, so the choice is clear. CX-5 all the way This post has been edited by Boldnut: Aug 15 2018, 06:34 PM |

I want to default off, then have it activate manually when I feel like wanting to use it |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Oct 23 2018, 03:58 PM) As far as I know there's no default off, then activate back manually when you want. let me guess, the permanent one need some one to do it?We can off it permanently though. I dont really like people temper my car haha. I guess I have to stop lazy and make it a habit press the button every time I start my car. IMO istop is a stupid design with minimal benefit. |

I just finish my full tank of Ron95 fuel from factory.(or may be from my car reseller). I used until left ~5L petrol left. Fuel tank is 56L, so I pumped 50L of Ron 97.
Does the car engine adjust its compression ratio to fit Ron 97 fuel? How many full tank of fuel until it take effect? Prefer to use Ron97 mainly because of Euro 4M, if engine can benefit from extra octane rating, then it is a bonus! |

QUOTE(zafferZ @ Nov 10 2018, 11:28 PM) I'm quite surprised with the FC. Its much better that what I expected. it is a 14:1 ratio engine, thats why fuel efficient. My previous car, a sedan 1.6 only can get around 12km/l After been driving for a month, 60% city 40% highway, able to get around 13.5-14.0km/l, which is quite impressive imo P/S: i travel around 100km per day (on average) during weekdays. Next year skyactive-X new engine will even more fuel saving. Expect 16-18:1 ratio. thats diesel level already. This post has been edited by Boldnut: Nov 11 2018, 10:01 AM |
