Hello CX5 owner, any good recommendation for tint? Which one should go 3M or Llumar?
Which series of 3M/Llumar are highly recommended? Please share!
Thank you so much!

I had the Minolta-Skytint replaced with other brand 2 weeks after collecting the car.
I would have done it much sooner if it was not for the Chinese New Year period when I collected my car

I feel this Konica Minolta Skytint is passable, just took me 1 minute to cool car (i toggle to 20c aircond on auto). If i need privacy, maybe i will just get that sunshades. changing a new tint really waste of 1.5k worth of tint IMO.

The front tint is not rejecting the heat well. If cost is not an issue, should upgrade to a better tint or some may go with double layer.

Yes, I share your point. It's actually not bad. I installed RayTech on my Subaru XV and the cooling effect is not much different when parked under the mid-day sun.

Indeed!
My most gripe is the front windscreen tint.
I know they want to make it fully JPJ-compliant, hence the 8x% VLT, but because of the low TSER and IRR, if one is driving under the hot midday sun and the light hits the thigh or stomach part, almost can feel the burning feeling.

If budget is tight, can consider replacing the windscreen tint to better quality as the side and rear tints are still decent and quite dark too.
Can also use magnetic shade for the side and rear if want more privacy

So best, it makes you feel as close to the sun as the sky.. I'd say it's appropriately named.

New slogan... "SkyTint..So best, you can feel the sun on your face." Mmmm.. Smile and cut! grin.gif lol.gif

Of course car will cool but it'll take longer and compressor runs harder to keep up in midday sun.. Have you tried this yet? Park facing the midday sun, don't even have to touch the windscreen to feel the heat, just let the heat come in and warm your hands on the wheel. Anyways, it has taught me to seek shade when waiting on someone during hot days.. laugh.gif

My mum did her car second layer without peeling off Skytint. End up the tint color looks blue-ish now instead of the black/gray laugh.gif

Really want to smack Bermaz for choosing this spec for the tints. JPJ is one, Puspakom also another one. You follow JPJ spec, Puspakom will say fail to comply.

Yes my thigh and stomach is burning and it is good to burn fat. mad.gif

Dear all 2.2 diesel owner...

anybody realized that the owner manual showing that this engine required engine oil change every 5,000km?
any reason required that?
The sc saying 10,000km is normal practice in malaysia.

Yes, JPJ or puspakom compliance is the only reason they choose the VLT 85% for the front, else the VLT 70% for the side will provide much better TSER. I believe no choice but to install a 2nd layer for front.

It is same as our owner handbook. That screenshot is taken from Mazda web base owner handbook website.
What I can think of is only the diesel we using is kind of low quality. Maybe the time they develop this manual is assume we are taking euro 2 diesel.

I remember somebody says about our front USB port does not supports USB3.0 thumbdrive. Well I just tested using a Sandisk 16GB Ultra Fit thumbdrive & it works. (2.0GLS).
