Battery light blinking after 1 year and 8 months...seems pretty fast. I changed my previous original battery with the Delkor from SC...should I change to a different brand instead?

Is it? So I can go back and claim warranty?

QUOTE(Axell @ Apr 15 2021, 08:10 AM)

yup you gonna becareful if battery lights on normally it says ur alternator KO not battery..
i just google.. Delkor and Varta belongs to the same company call Clarions.. Amaron used to be under the same group (Was called Johnson control) but now no longer with them..

I am seeing the spec of Delkor and varta is the same only diff is on the dimension which is negligible. If you are comparing between Varta / Delkor get the one which is cheaper but with longer warranty smile.gif
*
I asked SC, they are giving Varta with 2 years warranty but cost 680. Outside shop is 480 but only 1 year warranty. What does the warranty do? Give 1 to 1 exchange when battery KO?

I'll ask SC to check my alternator as well.

Not sure about rain sensor but I don't really like it. I prefer my old Myvi the slow, medium and fast interval wiper. Mazda Cx-5 only have auto, medium and fast.

you can go to the vehicle setting and uncheck the Rain Sensor wiper. then you can use the interval wiper.
I have been using the interval wiper for the past one year since the sensor kaput.

Heard they said Skyactive engine will turn off a few cylinders for fuel saving purposes while idle.

We have 4 cylinders, then it could be turning off 2 from it. then it would make the engine goes shaky/vibrates just like the shaky 3 pots engines.

You can try once you press the brake and the car is on full halt (Autohold is on or N mode), then put your foot away from the brake pedal.

You will feel that the engine will less engaged, and it will be quite quiet and less shaky.
*
QUOTE(kevinlim001 @ May 4 2021, 11:12 AM)
no.. mazda dun have that implemented yet.. more common for 6 cylinder and above and it works when the car is being driven in low speed which only 3 cylinder working while 3 cylinder idle to achieve better fuel consumption.

Need to check if the RPM if it's normal with SC. the other thing could be mounting like u said.
*
IINM we don't have that in Malaysia. The shake should be the issue when the idle RPM goes below 750...can be fixed by tuning the idle RPM

so the normal RPM shud be within 1k to 2k?
*
Normally when idling it should be around 750 but I noticed it dropped to 500 occasionally and thus the uncomfortable vibration. So I got it tuned to always stay at 750 when idling and then the vibration gone.

as some other sound issues.. they dont entertain on weekend
*
They won't do anything cause I've asked that before. The only way is get it tuned outside.

Anyone know the normal and major services cost for the new CX-5? My free 3 year service is expiring soon, dunno want to take extended 2 years for RM2,700 or not...worth it?
*
I posted the service maintenance schedule in the first page. Not sure if it's still the same but it should serve a good reference. For me I am not taking the 2 years extension because I feel not worth it.

Those are KE version I think since early 2017...but still RM2700 vs RM1600 big gap..

Yes but scheduled maintenance items should be the similar or exactly the same. Maybe the price changed already so take it as a reference only ya.

Can do the same way to CX-5 but it would be too cold hahaha. I just manually disable the i-stop along when I switch on the side mirror.

Same here. On a day with many short trips, iStop feel kind of chore. Surprise in setting mode, no option to disable it.  rclxub.gif  But seriously how much fuel can save with iStop....anyone done any local condition test?
*
Too annoying even if it can save petrol. The vibration when it restarts back the engine is unbearable sweat.gif

My first insurance renewal is coming up. Should I stay with Sompo or go somewhere else?
*
Somehow I found Sompo is the cheapest among all so I just go back to Sompo. Also easier to claim insurance.

Ah, I roughly remembered we discussed about this before. Someone did a comparison and I think somehow the higher premium for Mazda Sompo is not worth it. You might try to search previous threads.

Are you able to edit the Recommended Sum Insured or you just based on the portal min and max recommended sum insured?

Can insure lower but cannot be higher haha. I insure based on the recommendation/max value.
