I've just came back from Bermaz Glenmarie to collect Mazda's desktop calendar from my SA and he confirmed the price is still RM1,400 all-in as he quoted me last month.
But he suggested to wait first as who knows price might drop in the future if the module is widely available.
Right now have to place a RM500 deposit and Bermaz will call to arrange for installation once the module is available.
*
Oh, your SA give you free calendar ah? My SA give nothing..

Btw, is this new Apple Carplay and Android Auto able to control via the middle rotating thingy?

Just went back from Shah Alam & Bukit Tinggi trip.

The FC is amazing...(and thanks to Ron97 RM2.23 per liter)
I save alot comparing going road trip with MyVi and Saga BLM.

Handling is superb too, when conquering the highway before going uphill. Wind noise started to annoys me when reaching 140km/h and above..

One downside is, when cruising through the road along Sungkai, (that lighter Tar colored road), the road noise is huuuge....

Does anyone has a solution to solve song info change issues (display wrong artist/album names)?
So far i noticed Mazda Connect will store a cache data of songs u play via USB.
When you make changes to the song's artist/album names, it fails to update in the system.
I've tried various methods like even changing USB or song names, reformat USB, nothing works.
Is there a way to clear data cache?
*
I believe that the "Setting" there have an option of "Update music database"

You may try to click that and see how.. nod.gif

anyone know is the 2.0 version is really underpowered? or it is okay to drive around the city? I am not a agile driver tho.
*
At first I feel it is underpowered, but after I drove for almost 6 months, I can live with it.

I usually drive to work alone, and fetch my wife and mother-in-law go shopping during weekend.

The car acceleration is ok, but more smoother when it is over 60km/h. Both City and highway drive are great.

FC for city drive 100% takes about 10-11km/l.

FC for 80% highway (110km/h to 140km/h), 10% city (60km/h to 80km/h), 10% uphill (20km/h to 50km/h) takes about 14km/l

Do you all realize that, our favourite car is all over the road already.

When I cruise along the highway, I can see CX5 are far more than other SUVs.

Flashback before I bought this car, I am thinking to try something unique and rare, as many are recommending me CRV(+-RM150k) and Forester (+-RM127k). They said CX5 is cramped and expensive (no discount), Mazda parts are expensive and bla bla bla..

Taking the chance during the tax holiday period and grabbed a CX5. Save about RM8k and so happy to drive one. But owning "her" about 6 months and I feel like it is not that rare/unique anymore..

Other CX5 owners are pimping their ride with dynamic signals lights, big muffler tips and bigger wheels to make their car more uniquely among others. while I just keep the same old look of "her"...I like what "she" looks from the very first day.

Just some random thoughts...dont mind me.. brows.gif

btw is there any promo for cx5?
*

Nope, They didn't even attracted me for their looks...

I forgot to highlight this.

During my road trip last weekend, I mounted my phone onto the center aircon vent and my phone totally got no GPS signal..
At first I thought it was my Waze problem, but it is happening to Google Maps too.. sad.gif
Then I tried to put my phone in front of the speedometer..and it is working fine already.

Not sure is it the MZD infotainment having strong signal and cancelling all around it or what.. rclxub.gif

should have bought own full-syn with much much better quality and let them fill up there..  dry.gif  vmad.gif

I don't think they allow that.

Last time during my 1k service, the technician filled in semi-syn instead of full-syn which I requested.

Guys is it normal to feel vibration at the floor of the car? I feel it on rough roads.. or when I accelerate hard..
*
Yes it is normal. This is why nobody call our car floats..

It is good to let the driver feel the road surface when driving...

On the side note, I got paint chip on my bonnet already...
and even my windshield having tiny hole, due to small rocks.. doh.gif

I just switch drive between cars from my old vios to my cx5. I noticed that the cx5 feels like its vibrating a lot. I can feel it on my steering, floor and my acceleration pedal. Previously I asked whether it is normal but I don't remember the car being so bumpy and shaky. After I drive from one place to another my legs feel very tired like kena vibrate massage for a long time. Time for SC visit? Anyone having this issue?
*
May I know what spec is your Cx5?
Mine so far no vibrate..You should go check with the SC.

Have you guys use tng ewallets to top up, why it just for rfid use only, I’m already key in my tng card with top up, can’t use for my current tng card!
*
Currently tng ewallets still unable to provide tng card reload service.
Stop topping up ewallets first.

My 5 months GLS sometime also feel a bit vibrate when aircond compression kick start. Your unit not vibrate at all most of the time?  confused.gif
*
I notice that if i drive away in a cold engine, the dashboard vibrates/rattles more.
Now i try to wait awhile after i start the engine, will push to D after like 8secs or more.
And the car dashboard vibrates/rattles much more lesser.

My car is 2.0gls petrol variant. But I think diesel variant vibrates more.. sad.gif

Did your RPM reduced way below 8-900? I read somewhere there is an issue about RPM drop on petrol variant

Hmm.. i did not notice any vibration/rattles even if i accidentally stepped on D during the accelerated warms up 😅
*
Oh, I didn't go check on that. But I will check it later and tomorrow morning.

Will update you here. smile.gif

Yo bro. I checked my RPM already during morning engine starts.

At first it roar at almost 1.2 RPM, then after awhile, it went to 0.8 RPM something;.

No vibrations on the seats and steering.

I guess some people are just more sensitive. I can feel the vibrations everywhere. Especially during idling at traffic light with Auto Hold. It's a bit better if set to Neutral.

I can even feel the road condition I am driving on. Hard road, soft road, tiles road, some deformation on road, some hole on road and etc.
*
Oh my...Then i think my body numb already. can't feel a shit. But will feel quiet when set to Neutral while i-Stop is on (Of course the engine is off already brows.gif )

For road surface, I can feel everything on the road. Maybe it is to let driver feels the road, else will like riding sampan. brows.gif

I disabled the i-Stop so the engine is on when idling. I guess it's the nature of this car to vibrate this strong hmm.gif
*
Or is it due to service already?
Or is it because of engine oil?

My idling engine getting louder after fresh morning roar. but I just drove 5k km only.. hmm.gif

Have anyone try cx5 max top speed as stated 260km/h! Just tried 2.0l, 170km/h in 4K rpm can feel the body roll ready.

QUOTE(widget @ Jan 23 2019, 11:11 AM)
I was told by Sidek MCCM who provides reflash ECU service to members that there's a speed cut of 206km/h for stock car.
On my stock 2018 2.2D Fwd, managed to hit around that speed on a quiet Latar highway.

Sidek's 1st Gen CX-5 ever hit > 220km/h from the photo he shares in whatsapp group.
To be able to achieve close to 260 km/h, maybe on dyno wheel only instead of real road test
*
Janji your tyres can cope the speed.
