For those who stays in EMCO area, how do you service your car? Many service centers in EMCO area are not opening.
*
My already overdue for 2 weeks.. not sure if this would void the warranty..
I only done like 300km since the last service in December last year.

corolla cross or cx-5? my top pick would be cx-5 2.0gls high

but.... corolla cross has the boot space and toyota safety sense...

family with a 1 year old kid. city drive with the monthly mount kinabalu trip back to kampung.
*
One thing i notice about toyota cross. It seem to be build with cost cutting in mind.

What is that piece center metal for?

The fender piece of metal.. holo. Engine bay is very messy. Maybe should put a cover to it.

Mine also overdue for 3 weeks.  Probably open, but I’m scared to send the car in.  They can’t void warranty on that basis right?
*
I just did my car service.. also overdue 3 weeks.. SC said, no void warranty.
However my car baru done less than 200km since the last service..

Hi guys, my Mazda CX-5 just finished the 3 years free service. Advisable to extend 2 years rm2k+ or bring it to service outside? If outside, any workshop recommendations with good service and fair price around subang jaya area? Thank you!
*
I also interested to know howuch is the normal service cost.. whether the 2 years extended service is worth paying

it will affect our market sales if they increase the price in future. case example, M6 2.5L when new >rm200k. wait for 2 years old used car market, the price drop too much and affordable due to no demand for the car. so my idea, grab it 2nd car much better
*
Car is no longer a virgin.. Donno if the previous onwer treat it nicely or abuse it too the max..

Did you guys service the aircon around 3 years time? I just went to SC today and they advice to service aircon.

Also my rear brake pad is a bit thin, SC suggest to change in next service. It'll cost 400+...is it cheaper to change outside?
*
How come your rear pads wearout faster than your front?

*
Is yours AWD version?
Normally for FWD, you only replace the rear pad once every 3-4 front pads replacement..

My Honda City had the same problem.

Rear pads were smaller and wears out faster.

In the long run, replacing rear pads costs me more than the front ones.
*
It might be some issue with your handbrake/ebrake, Not fully free up the clamp.

Jusy curious with those repair, here with JPJ and Puspakom, sure failed right?
*
Depends on where the cut. Puspakom only check A and C pillar. They dont check D pillar.
Furthermore.. the inspection are visual. They dont use those special equipment to check the conductivity. So depends on the workmanship, it might pass puspakom.

not bad. What about the other things?

Managed to get your road tax and insurance done? Tinting, coating etc?
*
Insurance SA can do it online. Road Tax and registration send the document to other state runner that is currently in phase2. Tinting and coating is 3rd party means you do it yourself.

Anyone knows a good place for wraps?

I'm looking to do something like this to my car. Dechrome the exterior and wrap the roof. Won't touch the rear lamps though.

Will Mazda update the cx5 firmware so that it look the same like cx30?
*
You need a new hardware for mzd connect 2..
Current hardware might not powerful enough to support it.

i rather upgrade the HU to aftermarket in future in this case
*
On non GL/mid specs version. You will loose a lot of access to vehicle settings. Like those crash avoidance, auto lighting and etc.

QUOTE(xAmdx @ Aug 17 2021, 12:05 PM)
Wait for the TAU and screen to be available then when you change it will be the latest version.

If not mistaken EU and CHina market are using cx-30 infotainment version.
*
US and Aus market too.. Malaysia just helping to clear left over stock at cheaper price .

Bermaz games our market? I just dont understand Bermaz strategy, sell Cx8 which cost higher than cv5 but losing out features of Cx5 like those digital speedometer. Same goes to Mazda 6 facelift.

On the Mazda 3 reluctant to make it CKD is questionable
*
Because Cx5 is their bread and butter not cx8.
