The side brush is becoming noisier, I lubricated the nylon gears with lithium grease, that reduced the noise level.
I'm still amazed at how much dirt it can find from what appears to be a clean floor, I think because it goes into the out-of-sight places - under cabinets & sofas. What have I learnt from 2 years of ownership:
- - check that consumables are easily available
- keep the vacuum clean, turn the robot upside down check the main brush regularly, long hair, paper clips etc. can become wrapped around the roller. I've read of the flexible plastic gaiter between the lower and upper body being perforated, that causes loss of suction and dirt to enter into the fan.
- clean the sensors, your robot may drop down the stairs if the drop is not detected.
- if I could buy new furniture such as cabinets & sofas, I would make sure there was enough floor clearance for the robot to go underneath.
- make sure cables, slippers, etc. are moved off the floor.
