I guess that is for person who get promo package and later upgrade? Your package is RM140? Standard 50Mbps package is Rm179 I think.

I check my account just now and said my request for CPE (I believe this is BTU) has been submitted and this was entered into system on 24 Nov 2018. Until now no upgrade. I chat online just now and a report was entered ... so it is another report on another report  rclxub.gif

My package is now is 800mbps for 179, i receive a special upgrade from 50 to 100 for only 10 bucks extra and it was offered to me with no 24 months promo BS that time. So now gonna keep on reporting this to tm until they change my package

So, that is why it will expire. I think the 179 is for 500Mbps

Nope. I was just wondering if the my current modem and router will be able to handle 800Mbps...  biggrin.gif

My power lines adapter can only run Max 60Mb even though the device self can fully support 300Mb lan , point less to upgrade since house wiring too week bad insulation and too many looping

This is not the case bro, there a folks who are paying 179 with 800mbps and no 24 months promo discount BS, i figure is the folks who got upgraded on 2018 did not get it while on 2019 they apply it for no good reason

PowerLine adapter is very prone to electrical noise.

You plug your PowerLine to AC socket. Electrical socket is not like Ethernet socket which is gold plated. The copper corrosion add resistance and degrade the signal strength. The signal go through house wiring and at any connection, the signal get degraded again and again even at the other end of PowerLine device.

It is better to use wireless if cannot lay LAN cable. Get good wireless AP or perhaps get mesh wireless AP

The problem with TM is that they have promo package and even new lower rate and the long time customer probably not aware or not even informed. They were so many promo from time to time and the loyal customer get pissed off smile.gif

If turbo package above 100Mbps then yes, you must change both router and Fiber modem. Call them to change both if lazy, else ask them to change Fiber modem and buy own router for better performance.

try check your poweline ethernet spec,

my tplink powerline 300mbps when i check the ethernet port is only 10/100, means can never go above 100mbps.

so i bought a gigabit powerline instead.

Yesterday just got turboed to 500 too, but speedtest currently at 80+ only, up from 40+.

Probably because of the cheapo RM 10 for 10 meter Lan cable I bought years ago.

Check your wireless connection speed between your laptop to router.

Open command prompt ( press Window button + R and type cmd)
Type command netsh wlan show interface

Check what is said on your Receive and Transmit rate. That is the possible speed between your laptop to wireless router.

Depends. If your BTU is the Alcatel Lucent i240G then you don't have to change it. But the router... FFS man, how did you even survive all these years with that piece of trash dlink 615?
