You can't trust a politician.
Anyway is this official? https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...subject-to-sst/

My bad, it's still a proposal

The best is CIMB cards, offered RM10+10 if retain and spend an amount but need to wait for another month or two after the spending,
I received RM10 a few weeks later, spent it, then cancel, the CS checked and knew I spent away the RM10, so no more retention offered laugh.gif

Most likely cannot,
can redeem with TP,
can cancel Maybank 2 Visa and retain Maybank 2 Amex

Hi guys, just a quick check.

Just saw that the RM25 SST has been charged to my credit card this month (still under unbilled transactiaon). Can i cancel the card now to be exempted of the SST charge, similar to the usual annual fees of CC?

Or do i still have to pay the SST even though it will be cancelled already?

Thanks guys!

No need to unless you used the card post sst being chatged. You can quote the terms if they insist you paying.

I thought only government service charges on CC only changes upon card activation. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
