It should be noted that Wii savegames will be saved by default onto the Wii harddrive itself. Backup savegames and virtual-console titles can be transfered onto the SD card.
As for the "memory card", I think it's just a Gamecube memory card with bigger capacity. Taken from Wikipedia info on GCN MC QUOTE Memory Card 59 (4 Mib), 251 (16 Mib), or 1019 (64 Mib) blocks, with a maximum of 127 files can be stored on a single card (Memory Card 59 bundled with Animal Crossing) - each card requires 5 blocks of system data meaning that the actual size of cards are 64, 256 and 1024 respectively The product of which you(threadstarter) produced shows that this "memory card" is capable of holding 2043 blocks, which is somewhat around Conclusion: It's just a bigger Gamecube Memory Card, serves no other purpose than to store Gamecube save games. [and make your Wii uglier] [Edit] And to TS's question, not sure, but it was built for the Wii. Not sure if the cosmetic design of the console will bar the Gamecube from using this device. Sihumz is right, I have a 64MB one (looks EXACTLY like this one, i.e. physically bigger than a normal GCN memory card) and it works to save GCN games on it when used on the Wii. dunno if it works for the gamecube. If somebody would give me one i can try
But I do admit the labeling is a tad confusing... This post has been edited by satanduck: May 25 2007, 07:27 PM |
