I had replace battery recently due the battery is no longer serve well. I had installed the new battery by myself and found that after install the new battery, the battery stlll not able detected by mbp. The battery indicator light also don't have any light.

I had done reset SMC and PRAM.

Any idea will cause this issue?

Thanks.

That would mean that the charging IC already kaput. Its on the main board, that controls the battery charge input/output etc. Common issue and usually spoilt due to over current/short by the wired charger.

Its best to bring your unit to a apple SC and thay can get it sorted out for you.

Charging IC around Rm100, I remember my colleague done it at one of the 3rd party at lowyat last year also 13' mbp 2012 model. and that is for a used one. New would cost double IIRC.

Pretty much similar problem with my 2011 13'' MBP. Changed the whole motherboard with one apple authorized technician and cost me +-RM1500.

Can't really recall the name of the shop but it was located on the 3rd floor. There are many service shops there, try get the best price.
