Planing to buy motherboard, new processor & RAM .
Are these items affected by SST?

Hi. I am a PC parts dealer, although my focus is on gaming chairs, graphics cards and mechanical keyboards.
The latest update from distributors I check with is that: Distro A - should be no increase Distro B - should be no increase, if increase also maybe around RM30-50 for laptops (not sure why) BUT both distros say government haven't finalize SST terms yet, so cannot confidently say it won't affect. Under old pre-GST system of SST, it did not affect PC parts and hardware. Edit: side note, now tax holiday until 31st August. If it's moderately urgent, then buy now. Using a bit of logic I am sure you will understand that with SST coming in, no such thing as price decrease. It is either price increase or no changes (unless some supply and demand factor overseas - like what happened with the mining rush). This post has been edited by KuzumiTaiga: Jul 17 2018, 02:53 PM |

QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Jul 17 2018, 02:51 PM) Hi. I am a PC parts dealer, although my focus is on gaming chairs, graphics cards and mechanical keyboards. yeah now also not yet finalized. laws also not yet passed. come face reality lah. too little time left. tax holidays should extend to 31/12/2018 so that everyone has ENOUGH TIME to be prepared.
