UMNO totally forgotten about GE14..

Whatever it is Mr Rafizi
It is much better especially for me if petrol reduce
You can say everything u want to say but still if it's get cheaper it is the best.
Coz in the end i just gonna refill it.
I will only salute ur stand if it's benefit me as a a rakyat.
If it not then what can I do just accept it as a loyal Malaysian.

I don't know others who don't want cheaper fuel. They might highly respect ur opinion.
But for me a politician cannot be trusted.
Just read ur explaination and meh...

Plenty new car at nz pakai 91 je la , 95 at there consider premium

actually, our 95 and US 95 is different, they use Octane instead of RON standard that Europe use. So, octane 91 is like ron 95 here.

*edit* I tak reti baca, Aus/NZ use RON, they use 91 and 95

91 is perfectly fine with conventional engines.
Some places 91 is considered premium

mak ai can don sohai ka? oil is traded in USD worldwide. their 0.83cent per liter is RM3.2 liter. u can don sohai pls? eventho ur oil is produce in msia, they are still sold in USD as per normal market. Plus, malaysia import oil from others to produce gasoline here. Our higher quality oil is sell at premium price to other countries for different type of usage.

bro, i am a bit annoyed that there are still some ppl who are this unaware but i will try to answer anyway. the price of oil you hear on the news is usually crude oil. minyak mentah. this is not petroleum you pump into cars. this is raw oil that needs to be processed. the price of raw is just an indicator of the price of petrol at the pump because it is the most significant fluctuating cost in the manufacturing process. if crude oil goes up, you can expect petrol prices to go up too.

no, the price of regular gasoline (RON89) in the US is not USD1.5/gallon. it is roughly between USD2.50 to 3.50/gallon (MYR2.60-3.80/L) depending on where you fill up. prices are higher for "premium" gas (RON92 and above).

I think it is a good idea to bring back the RON92 (but this time is Euro 5 grade) and believe most cars are fine with it.

Currently our RON95 is only conforming to Euro 2M standards (I think only BH Petrol is Euro 3) Moreover, most of our RON97 is only conforming to Euro 4 standards...

So it will be good to bring in RON92 with Euro 5 standards for betterment of our environment.

Because our oil (and also many of our agricultural products) were exported instead, since they can fetch higher price due to the quality. Malaysia then imported cheaper oil for domestic use as fuel. If I'm not mistaken Malaysia's oil production is less than the consumption; yearly production is less than 700k barrels but in 2017 the consumption was over 800k barrels. Summore ppl like you demand cheaper oil price. If all of our oil were used domestically Petronas long time ago bungkus already. Oh and for comparison, USA produce more than 13m barrels per year, followed by Saudi Arabia at over 11m barrels. USA population is around 10 times of Malaysia but they produced oil close to 20 times of Malaysia's. Still wonder how they can provide cheap petrol to their citizens?
