both contact or non-contact is ok, dual mode is the best

forgot the brand im using. but using the infrared type that you stick in the ear. i used to have a rectal thermometer type but in the end its uncomfortable for everyone and takes a while.
the ear type i find is fast and accurate and has data storage. even hospitals use the ear method. so i think thats pretty good. i bought it last time for RM100 or so branded one. and yes adults can use it. |

last time bought made in china, last for 1 year only. RM30++
now invest to Braun, RM200+, Braun Thermoscan 7 IRT 6520 Ear Thermometer and yes, sure allow to apply to adult too. |

whatever brand is, please do pay some effort to calibrate the device every 6 months.
take it back to where you purchased, they will do the job. |
