Hi all sifu here, i looking a headphone for home use, which has better SQ in female vocal because i like female singer like emi fujita, susan wong, zhang jie li(china)...
Now targetting on MS1 or Audio technica product,i heard audio technica is good performance in female vocal,MS1 is more suitable to listen pop music, does it true?
Pls recommend me a HP which price range below RM600 which suit above criteria.I'm at singapore now,may b can drop to jaben has a test but at least should hav a list first, thanks.

Audio Technica ESW9 at S$370-380 might exceed your budget, but it has a warm sound that suit female vocal.
The cheaper ES7 (within your budget) has a harsher treble and a bit analytical as compared too ESW9.
I'm using ESW9 and some of my diet include Emi Fujita, Katie Melua, Jennifer Warnes, etc, so really recommend this headphone if you can up your budget.

Havent tried MS1, but I used to own SR-80.
The SR-80 is more for pop or rock as the sounds characteristics is very forward, i.e. more in-yer-face.....

I know esw9 is much more better, but the price really cant afford.
even dt880 still cheaper than it.
now can only take a cheaper one then upgrade later lor.
singapore here hard to find 2nd hand esw9,always sold out very fast. rclxub.gif
any model that pricing in between esw9 & es7?
how about beyer ah?DT440?suitable for vocal?

been reading past few pages back.....

okie...mostly i listen to hip hop and rnb some rock~ not heavy metal songs....

it seems earphones give more crips for sound quality but will these magnatic field harm our ear drum it consume too long hours (2~3 hours?)

which model and brand should i go for?
-sheek audio S46?
-esw9?
-Alessandro ms1?

can i have the price where i dono not know the market price for all these headphone/earphone smile.gif

where previous post i mentioned:

Boss
Philips
Shure

my budget will be ermmm...rm400~500 if worth of any penny for the build/ cosmetic and sound quality where im paying for biggrin.gif

Thanks
===============

If it's in mint condition, you can consider that you're getting an already burn-in headphone tongue.gif
*
he said he just used for 15hours...
but since everything decided then just enjoy it lor.
anyway,i heard esw9 need more than 200hours burn in time right? shocking.gif
200hours/5=40days.....hohohoo.... rclxub.gif

hi yuhung,

i was hesitating to visit your garage sales scared im poison to spend more haha.

okie here's the story...i am looking for a headphone/earphone (headphone practically). I tried uncle google for more information regarding the differences between two of them.

So, after all i need something comfortable with 2~ 3 hours run with either movies/ music and i do not carry out the "gears" most of the time.

Basically, from few post back...many ppl reckon many types of headphone MS1/Grado/Audio Technica n so on....saw 1 headphone via internet which is ESW7 (black finishing surface headphone) that the design looks good to lure me smile.gif but i haven tested the SQ yet and the dimension of the cup.

So i would like to know which brand/comfy/mid average headphone i can get with rm400~500 range.

At first i was aiming Bose on ear headphone then now ESW7 (base on design) what else i should consider biggrin.gif

Thanks

up to my knowledge, i think that u can consider on Audio Technica AD series, it suited more towards ur taste of range.
however, if u wan more music focus, i will more than happy to encourages you to take the Ms1 rather than esw7. and somehow walabies have some promo on ms1 brows.gif
Esw7/9 is more towards detaling sound, suitable for j-pop and etc. where adding an amp is an definite advantages.

*
Hi Yuheng, previously u told me es7 is more boring if i said mylar x3i is bore, but now i just own a esw9,dunno whether is a good choice or not.
Anyway,i'll try to appreciate wat i having now. sweat.gif
Thanks for your recommendation.

Do you hav any recommendation to pair a amp/dac/dac+amp for my esw9?
i still dunno shud go to solid amp or tube amp like little dot, btw,i see there is quite a lot of recommendation for the ibasso d2 boa.
does it really match with the esw9 taste? rclxub.gif

heavy usage maybe too ....cuz all my sis n bro share using that headphone... laugh.gif
but i think how come u buy a rm7++ headphone but only for sissy-like usage..isit? tongue.gif
*
i think this may cause by single incident because those using in HMV or Speedy may wear/unwear by various of ppl during test song.if the build quality is bad like that is impossible the shop will using it for song test purpose.just my 2cents lah.
