if u got tight budget,than u can get ep630,like Madman say,it is worth for earphone under rm60,
if u got medium budget, than go for mylar series, got mylar 1,2,3,xb n...i also dun knw,u ask yuheng..

last time i get h260>than ep630>than cx300>than fi.3>than now is 716,
than i hear back ep630, i feel "wtf, no detail, no clarity, so muffle, bass like out of control.....

btw, im716 looks weird. the three-level cones 'cucuk' into the ear.

That's what I concluded from the posts here and at Head-Fi. Vibe are a good pair of earphones also but I don't know how to get them in Malaysia. I'm getting the im716 from yuheng.

hey guys, planning to get an Audio Technica M50, is it really worth the RM700 price tag? and does it need an AMP to fully shine? will it perform as good without an amp?

You really have to listen to the M50 to justify the price.

are u using any AMP? or somesort of an expensive high end soundcard?

i intend to use the headphone with my crappy built-in soundcard + no amp, and no i'm not going to buy a new soundcard, will be upgrading my PC by Christmas.

currently using HP895, it suck at highs, and have even worse bass.

Honestly to get the most out of a headphone, it should be properly amped.. although some headphone does not require one.

lol, a headphone amp would cost more $$$, not gonna spend too much money on audio stuff, for me spending even 200 bucks on a headphone is overkill, let alone 700.

it's your $$$. so do whats best that suits your audio needs on par with your budget. normally the budget overrides the audio needs
