most of my music are J pops and K pops..

if u have a nice soundcard/amp, the philips 8900 will satisfy you ALOT and for some years to come perhaps before u upgrade to K701.., all those details from those instruments and thebass wham..but then its heavy heavy heavy n heavy...argh!!!

KSC75 earclip makes me uncomfortable, I changed the driver of KSC75 to fit into porta pro's headband, so now its pumping real nice bass n detail out from my iriver..cool!!

PX100 has lotsa bass that sometimes it will sound a bit muddy..KSC75 sound better, but then in PX100 u got comfortable headband, cool looking tho expensive by almost 2.5 times..

IEM, for RM200, the midrange budget...hard choice, great IEMs come at RM300-400+..
why dun u get a KSC75 and a Creative IEM EP630 (RM59 at pc fair) ..the EP630 has enough bass to satisfy ur lust, and my j pops never sound better..go get one, I'm looking for one too..cant wait till next pc fair..

If you'd like to have an ATH-A serie but concern about mis-spending your money, you can come by to my place and I'll let you audition A700. They're close siblings.

We dont buy kcs75 or hp895 in Lowyat ,but lowyat.Net forum. tongue.gif with better price.
Search around the Garage Sales->Music & Audio Related Accessories & Bulk Orders section. Plenty reliable seller there.

The best way to compare or understand both cans is to have try it your-self. this is more important others think or said.
Try find someone to let you try it.
I have both kcs75 & hp895 cool2.gif use for different purpose type of music,
kcs75 for rock/pop and hp895 for classical ,instrument & orchestra.
why not get both, both also great cans that value for its price.

guys..im searching for a good earphone for my mp3 and headphone for my PC (gaming, movies etc etc)

okay, lets start with earphone first smile.gif

-------------------------------------------

for earphone, my budget is limited until RM100, sorry cannot exceed more.
will pair it with my Sony Bean and fully-utilizing its Megabass feature, as my previous stock earphone was quite bad in bass performing, and too much "hiss" sound..
so i would like to find a portable earphone/headphone that provide a high bass but balanced with the treble.
i browsed this thread from the first page, and done some searching at Trade Zone too, and finally im interested with these models;

Koss KSC-75
Koss Spark Plug

so hows the models mentioned above? which one should i go to? or any other better model within the same price range?
to be honest, i would like to get the Mylar but my budget is strictly limited, so i dun think i will grab it for now sad.gif

-------------------------------------------

okay, now lets go for headphone.

since i provided RM100 for my new incoming earphone, and another high budget for good souncard, i dun think i can spend more on headphone.. sad.gif
so decided to put the maximum RM150 budget for it..
the purposes are for enjoying my gaming (mostly FPS), action/war movies (LOTR, Saving Private Ryan, Terminator) and listening rock, metal, trance/techno and pop MP3s.

i noticed that this thread got so many good reviews for philips headphone, so any recommendation? smile.gif

thanks and hope to get a good feedback and answers smile.gif

The Koss ksc-75 is not a bassy phone. It will sound quite bright initially but with burn-in the treble will sound just nice while the bass would be just sufficient without an amp. I have not heard the Koss Spark Plug but from comments I would categorize it with the creative EP630. To my ears, the EP630 sounded very muddy but thats maybe what you want in terms of "high bass".

As for your headphone requirements, I would think the Philips SHP2700 which is the replacement model for SHP805. You can get them from davis for RM80. or you could add a lil' more to your budget and get the SHP8900. Apparently there are no price stated by davis so I think its best for you to pm him if you're interested.

when fasting, anything that can be inserted into our body holes (like mouth, nose, ear etc etc) need to be avoided during the fasting progress (sorry i dunno how to describe it) as it would make our fasting 'invalid' (or in malay we called 'batal puasa' or 'tak sah')

or perhaps i might be wrong with the IEM's definition, because what did i mention above is actually in ear earphone, means that the earphone bud that can be inserted inside the ear's hole..

well actually i can just get the IEM and use it, but it will be a waste during fasting month since im not gonna use it (except after 'berbuka')
so thats why i think its better if a get a non-IEM earphone instead..

so again, any recommendation? budget is RM100..prefer non-IEM smile.gif

Hemm.. actually did you audit those earphone / headphone before? IMO, try listening to them and it's easier to decide which one that you like rather than depending on those review / other forumer's recommendation. Yes our recommendation / review may help but it's still based on our ear but not yours..

Therefore, if you have chance, try listening to them 1st, and you can get 'THE ONE' that suit you the most tongue.gif jusy my 2cent..
