Hello everyone

Can anyone guide me on this, besides the song bitrate, sound quality depends on the mp3 player or the earphones/headphones?

I just bought a Samsung YP-U3 and the sound quality is not that good no matter how loud i play it.
Should i change the earphone or change the player altogether? haha

Thanks

Try to use better quality headphones on it before changing the player. That player is pretty decent in sound quality.

My favorite earphones, Panasonic HJE 50 is spoilt. One side no sound anymore. Seems like this earphones is not in production anymore. Any recommendations? I want a comfortable in ear canal earphones with high clarity and not too bassy. Hate too bassy earphones. Budget around Rm100-200.

I don't think so. I think it has been over a year since I bought it. Anyway, found that Davis is still selling it. Might get another pair.

Still looking for other recommendations though. Maybe it is time to change also.

Haha, you're selling it. Seems good, but I'm worried about the build quality. Seems more flimsy than the already very flimsy HJE 50 I have.

depend on type of driver. if it's dynamic driver, it will need burn in to loosen the membrane. for balanced armature, no need burn in.

dynamic driver: mylar, cx300, ep630, atrio M series, etc

balanced armature: UE SF5, shure series, ety series, etc <- generally mid-high end

I have sony's cheapest range in-ears, MDR-32EX, and it is pretty good for me. But I'm not really an audiophile, so my ears probably won't know how to differentiate between the SQ. You can go audition this model and with your budget, you'll still get RM1.00 change. Haha.... biggrin.gif
