My dad new Samsung phone .

If sim pin, usually 1234 or 0123 unless u change it. If not, take out sim and restart.
If phone lock, try to remember the password. If not, wipe all data and start over. |

This is normal security for samsung. Need to input backup password once awhile. Rest of the time can use biometric to unlock
