Hi,

I have this scenario and don't know how to handle....

I attended an interview 2 months ago in a small consulting firm. Got an offer from the employer the following next week. They know my notice period is 3 months and had prepared the offer letter to me. I had signed the offer letter and supposed to start work next month.

I attended another interview 2 weeks ago in a bank (because the bank called me for interview). I got their offer letter yesterday.

So, I am in dilemma now because I feel like joining the bank. Reason is because more benefits, AL, bonus, etc.

How do I reject my first employer nicely?

You can always be honest with them; You have a better offer.

Just examine the clauses on the offer letter. Usually there's no penalty for you to back out before you start day 1.

see what is your ‘buy out’ clause in the offer letter you signed. Fulfill it and you are free from the contract. Simple right?
Else, risk getting sue if you breach the contract agreement. Ppl will tell you, don’t worry, you won’t get sue, the Co will no do anything, but they are not the ppl that get sue, it is you who will get sue. Proceed with caution.

Dont do that..

Is better to notify employer u got a better offer than come for 1 day and then resign...

of course, I'd never do that.

But TS mentioned that he signed the previous offer letter but now he got a better offer and he regretted.
