I just ordered AC88U from tmall today.

Despite of most users here opt for AC86U, I need the extra ports.

Hopefully can get it within this 2 weeks. icon_idea.gif

I bought AC88U for same reasons.. hahaha... alarm, cctv, nas and 1 port for each floor

so far no overheat issue. planning to get small fan as i stationed the router under stairs store (zero ventilation)

You should try gigabit switch or smart switch. Not neccesary to buy a AC88U for all the home devices, PC and CCTV. Mine is RT-AC86U only 4 ports but link with a 16-port gigabit switch to connect with 2 routers, a 5-port gigabit switch, smart TV, receiver, CCTV, alarm, 2 desktop PCs, PS4 console. All by LAN cable connections.

true. can connect to giga switch.

But as for me.. I want to minimize use of devices.. icon_rolleyes.gif
