In order to get high speed, I use a Realtek RTL8811AU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB 2.0 Network Adapter.
It got to be 802.11ac to achieve higher than 130Mbps (n speed).

how to check / bring up cpu usage monitor ?

mine is i3-8100 on 500Mbps...using ac86u with tp-link t9uh wireless usb adapter but can only manage 200-250Mbps

edit: disabled all forms of antivirus programs still same result...
tried to enter win10 safe mode with networking but can't connect to wifi...what did i do wrong ?

TP-Link Archer T9UH chipset is Realtek RTL8814AU on usb 3.0 supposed to be max.1300Mbps on 5GHz band.
200-250Mbps is way too low.

I am surprised as my Realtek RTL8811AU on USB 2.0 china-made performed faster at 250-270Mbps.

Was on the verge of buying an AC86U for 1k+ to replace my old AC55UHP when I stumbled upon this thread and am very grateful for all the useful information here that is going to save me some bucks.

Just created a taobao account and bought one for 965.11 rmb including direct delivery and freight insurance IIRC. Not sure if that is considered cheap for “taobao standards” but considering I was going to shell out 1k+ for this, massive win for me regardless 😁

Any reasons to ditch the AC55UHP as I found that it is still very fast. Many reported the AC86U can reach 300Mbps on wireless but my AC55UHP can do around 250-270Mbps on ac with usb2.0 dongle. The difference of 30-50Mbps is not much. On LAN, AC55UHP can do the max. at around 903Mbps on a 1Gbps Fibre line.

UL is 1000Mbps ?

whoa...that's high

Actual UL can reach 952Mbps.

The standards of uploads and downloads speed have improved drastically from around 830Mbps in end-2016 to presently above 900Mbps in Singapore.
Residential service available are 500Mbps, 1Gbps and 2Gbps symmetrical connection.

I really hope standards in Malaysia can improve too as I am using YES 4G LTE in Malaysia, FIZ 2Mbps UNLIMITED asymmetrical connection.
