Should have wait for m6 with newer processor unless m5 price is very low, Depend how you hold the tablet, make sure the speaker grill does not block by palm or fingers.
Never tried whatsapp call, but the tablet equip with MIC, should have no problem to make call.
Not sure about other users have this issue or not, my m5 8.4 battery life (standby) seem not very good after upgrade to PIE.

i bought mine 1 year ago around RM1450, 960 processor so far so good. in general m5 feel lot faster than my 3 years old s7 edge.

Hate to said this, i had 2 unifi sims before, used it on Samsung S7 and iPhone 5s, both are difficult to get 4G signal.
