Just upgrade to combo Shimano 105 R7000 and don't turn back, it cost average rm1500 full grouppos.  The differences between 105 and claris is huge!  I've been using SORA for for decades and upgrade to 105 this month on my 10 year old aluminum frame, wow i was like flying up the hill everyday.  I've tried my friend Ultegra and Dura-ace there are not much differences in pedaling performance in gear cadence ratio with 105 except Dura-ace have more buttery smooth shifting and lighter.  Overall the hood grip and braking on new 105 r7000 much the same as Ultegra and Dura-ace.  It felt like 105 took few genetics from Dura-ace which is why 105 R7000 came out a year later.  So Shimano 105 is bang for buck...go for it. 

....yes of course my new 1400g 30mm lighter with aero thin sapim spokes build wheelsets helps a lot.

Hi, I just upgrade from Sora 9 speed to Shimano 105 11 speed. Yes is a huge different is worth to upgrade. But if u thinking of upgrade ur frame to Carbon frame then u must well save some money and upgrade one time go.

I didn't upgrade full set. I found RD, cassette and chain at RM300 then Shifter at RM300. so less then 1k you can upgrade from 9 speed to 11 speed... hehe

Yes i still using Sora crank, and i i had change my mavic wheel sets and the hub which able to fit 11 speed
