the menu button not function at all.

before, I stayed in a hotel in KL Sentral, the Sharp TV in my room is locked. I searched the internet and found a solution:

Power off TV by unplug AC, hold "Vol -" and "INPUT" on the TV set at the same time, plug in AC, K menu appears ,

press "Vol -" and "Ch -" to enter service mode

at the "Public mode" setting, select OFF

now this hotel locked TV become a home TV.

But this model LC-40LE185M, doesn't have an "INPUT(SOURCES)" button and VOL - button on the TV set,
I couldn't enter sevice mode. anyone help?

I'd send Sharp tech support an email while I was in the hotel. They just replied with step by step how to unlock the TV after 7 days. Useless now.

The TV in hotel does not have RTM 1 & 2, and I need to rescan the TV to get these two channels. Unforunately, the TV has "hotel mode" enabled (aka "Public Mode"). This mode can lock Max Volume, Menu Button etc. TVs in Malaysian hotels are often locked by the TV guy when setup for the first time.

I personally hate this practice, I don't see it's necessary to lock this lock that. This create more problems: unable to turn off overscan 16:9, unable to adjust pictures, unable to rescan channels.
