QUOTE(stargate8 @ Jul 11 2018, 11:57 AM) hi sifu slimey Got 2 types. One is acrylic one is silicone based. is this PYE WATER-SEAL Acrylic Waterproof Sealer that you mentioned? after bathroom tiles has been cleaned then apply it directly right? is it simple for DIY or better ask contractor do it? I have no experience with the acrylic one. The silicone based I used before. Easy to apply with brush. Dries in about 8 hours. After dry the tiles maintain the same texture, not slippery. |

my house also like this problem.. during renovation the contractor did paint a layer of waterproofing (black tar thingy) before laying tiles. they painted the floor and up to 1 feet on wall, i ownself painted up to 3-4 feet. but still water seep thru like the picture above. What can i do without hacking tiles? btw the contractor used normal cement for grouting due to they say there are no grey colour grouting available in market, as i thought if put white grouting will turn yellowish/dirty.. now i realised its untrue coz i saw homepro selling coloured grouting. And that is probably how water seep in. |
