Hello everyone, I need your help

My pc cant boot, boot screen also didnt come up (cpu fan on and off). I recently swap my hdd and this happens right after.

I tried few things but still didnt solve this prob. changed cmos battery, clean/swap/use one slot ram, check all psu socket, remove gpu, extension cable, sata and other unnecessary cable to boot, but still failed. bangwall.gif

Sometimes it can boot but very rare, like 1/20 attempts.

Wat u guys think?

mobo, proc or psu prob?

psu seasonic 520w
cpu i5 4440
mobo b85m asrock itx

since your most recent hardware changes is HDD, have you tried turning on your pc without plugging in the HDD?

Anyway, several years ago I had somewhat similar problem; when pushing power button, cpu fan turn on then off then on then off again and again. I couldn't remember the exact root cause, either psu or mobo.

1st, take out your RAM sticks then use microfiber clothes to clean the RAM contacts with isopropyl alcohol or rub with pencil eraser such like the Pentel/Faber Castell/Stabilo brand Hi-Polymer/Exam Grade rubber eraser which can easily get from supermarket or bookstores.

Now put back your RAM then try power on your PC. If does not work then only continue to next step.

Now head to shopee choose your favourite PCI-e debug card. Then buy and wait for it arrive.

Usually the debug card has include with a manual book for your posting reference. So after you received the debug card, plug the card to PCI-e slot. Then power on your PC, now you should check on your debug card. Then refers to the posting code for which part of your motherboard BIOS was stopped from posting.

***If the code on your debug card is just showing 00, I have to first congratulate to you which is high possibility that your CPU and motherboard were spoiled. You should replace new PSU too for safety purposes.
