Does the 'tick tick tick' sounds came from the dashboard ? If yes, then you should ask the sc to put sort of a thin padding in the cd player/radio DIN compartment(inside the dashboard). I had mine fixed. Problem solved.
*
Nope, i also had the tick-tick from the radio compartment but if happen i only need to press the wooden look-a-like frame the sound gone already.

but i donno it happen to u or not , but u can try after driving a while when u gonna take a junction (45 degrees / 5-10 kmh) while ur window is down , u can hear a tick tick sound at ur driver side .

P/S: It also happen to this PGR 9182, just hear it when the Mech doing the testing, i ask the toyota guy there they said the owner complained that his car got cracking sound under his car. But the Mech didnt remarks what they have done and i also donno is it solve or not

please do not conclude that hastily & by basing on that somewaht limited info/source...

really sorry if u happen to get such a "lemon grade" car...

while you personally is loosing faith & won't get a honda for ur next ride, it would be more benficial to all here if you willing to share out ur unpleasant events / faulty items of ur current honda... at least it will serve as a reference guide for potential buyer of this model to take more precaution or checking on that particular part/item...

cheers...  notworthy.gif

It all depends on luck.

Come on la, have a heart for this poor Vios owner la, ok? His Vios is now total loss la... And it's not even his fault to begin with...

This accident was not caused by him... After his crash, a few minutes later 2 more cars met the same fate but didn't crash as badly as him... I suspect some a$$hole must've poured oil onto the road...

Actually, the current batch of Vios is no longer CKD, it's CBU Thailand now.

I heard another problem regarding the Vios, this comes from a Vios 1.5G owner. A few weeks ago, he got into a bad car accident... The accident occured on the Bukit Jalil highway right at the TPM/Serdang exit... For unknown reasons, as he was approaching the exit, his Vios suddenly spinned 360 degrees twice! The first impact was the front, it hit the curb, then 2nd impact was at the side where his Vios hit a tiang...

As you can see, that was a pretty hard impact and guess what... His Vios' airbags DID NOT DEPLOY! The side impact was so severe that if you look at the Vios from above, it looked like banana-shaped oredi... shocking.gif The poor fella's forehead was bengkak and bled like mad... Lucky he was still conscious and was crying for help...

The poor guy's head hit the steering so hard during the crash that the steering shape changed from round to square liao... And the fcuking Airbag DID NOT DEPLOY!!

Vios owners, you guys better take your precious ride to Toyota SC and have them do a diagnostic on your Airbag systems... Make sure it deploys when it's suppose to!
*
It might not be the airbag is not working well... It more possible that the driver is driving without fasten the seat belt... for new Vios seat belt it comes with force limiter and pre-tensioner safety features whereby with this features the airbag will not deploy if the driver is not fasten the seat belt due to safety...

For your information previous Vios and current Vios and future Vios will be only CKD not CBU from Thailand

Dear Vios User do share any issues that u faced with ur Vios.
Do put some info about ur Vios

I'll start first,

Vios Facelift
puchased July 2006
mil 27k++

Problems:

The Cracking/ ticking sound (to be precise sound like current jumping from the Van de Graaff Electrostatic Generator aka tesla coil) between F/Right tire and the body(if u squad down u can see altenator(also not sure but something looked like motor).

The tick tick not immediately happen, but only after i drove car for some KM then when u took a corner. It will clearly heard if i'm in the basement parking. And this problem the SC still didn't have the solution for it yet.

But already explain to then it not neither my driveshaft nor the stones that stuck to the tires. The sound don't have sequent and not immediately happen . I can say 90% believed that something to do with Electrostatic / not proper grounding.
When i start the car in the morning, the belting (i dunno which one ) gimme very annoying sound. Sometime it will cont. itching me even after i drove more than 10km...
(make me shamed with my neighbors) - But solve after complained 3 times to the SC.
*
not sure whether I faced the same problem as yours...

I bought my Vios TRD last year (2014). After the previous service, I m not sure whether it's my driving style or the car problem.. I realise that there're some "vibration" noise came out from the front part of the driver seat when the RPM reached above 1.5, below 2.0. This only occur during the engine pick up period, eg., after I started to drive from a stop of a traffic light @ passing through bumps.
I brought back the car to toyota s.c., they mentioned that it should be my daylight cable, and they've tighten it up for me. since then, I tried to drive again, and i realize the noise still persists.
anyone here driving TRD also facing the same problem...?
