As per title

When you guys are stress testing, do you guys prefer Prime95?
It seems to stress the CPU to its limit especially with AVX.

Is the AVX necessary?
Without AVX, current CPU can reach 5GHz with 0 AVX offset @ 1.33V but not on AVX. It needed 1.37 to reach it which make it quite hot.

Now stay @ 5Ghz 1.315V with AVX offset of -2

Do you guys have any other better stress testing programs to recommend?

Thanks smile.gif

me no off avx, no try before without avx. maybe u can try to lower you uncore ratio? maybe could stay at 1.33v @5ghz if you lower your uncore numbers. try start from uncore 40 and see maybe can maintain 1.33v hmm.gif

Currently running it at 1.37 xD
Bought better fans for it. A lil bit cooler now xD

Edit: I also tried lowering the uncore but no luck sweat.gif

Very good chip you've got. Won the silicon lottery! AVX puts more stress on the processor, hence, producing massive heat. Your Corsair AIO cooler still can manage the heat. rclxms.gif
