Brian Wee has resurfaced recently as "Daniel Chee" (his latest name). We got connected through a group of twitter friends. From interactions on twitter, we moved to WhatsApp. He created a persona that the group of friends are generally ok with (family man, man with empathy) and that was how he fit into this group of friends. "Dan" told a friend in the group that he is interested in me and that was how everything started between us and after he pursued me, I gotten into a brief "relationship" with him for 2-3 weeks before i confronted him after having a moment of flashback on the  lowyat thread that i stumbled upon months ago during the hype of Netlfix's Tinder Swindler. I guess that flashback happened because i was overwhelmed and was mostly uncomfortable with everything that happened way too fast with what he tried to do for me (wanting to get me expensive gifts, showering me with "love" and the list goes on). He even asked me to marry him a week after we got into the "relationship"

To cut long story short, same MO, same stories as stated in the thread. His MO didn't really changed much probably some of the names were tweaked but it's almost similar. He often flaunts how he started from nothing to being the Top executive COO working with Shell APAC, based in Singapore, earning big bucks in USD, with big lucrative bonuses but he choose to stay low profile. I was very lucky that i stumbled upon the lowyat thread before and because of this i managed to pull myself, my family and the group of friends out from the potential mess, potential harm and the potential scam that he could have caused (Thank you for this 🙂). When i realised that he is the guy from the lowyat thread after revisited the link that i once shared with my friends with him seated across me, i was in shock when his pictures appeared and couldn't believe it with my own eyes that i once spoke about this guy before and i am now in a "relationship with him"

I knew i had to do something about it fast but i was not in my own space, my territory at that time. I carefully planned for my moves and steps while being with him , played along (acting like how we would usually do on our dates) and at the same time thinking of how i should approach this without jeopardising my safety whether i should just walk away or let him know that i know who he is. I decided to go with the latter and to do it when he dropped me off at the courtyard at my condo at least i am within my own space.

So i told "Dan" that we need to talk about something and instead of screaming at him and creating a scene out of it, i said i kinda confirmed what i stumbled upon about him previously and asked him if he has anything to tell me. His face changed probably because he didn't see this coming and he only answered NOPE. I asked him again are you sure? He said YES. I stepped out of the car and i never look back and flagged the group about this.  He removed his twitter account immediately after i exposed him and all his mobile numbers are not contactable/reachable

Not supporting the scammer but if police can do anything, he is already in lock up.

PDRM can catch people with less conviction. Them just sitting around mean either not big enough for them to do much or there is no helang victim yet.
