if used at fruitfarm, and fruitfarm only, consider getting hilux single cab. ranger and navara tends to be abit lemak when it comes to heavy duty job. u can use it for heavy duty, yes, but u must never skip ur maintenance. hilux not so.

based on my personal experience+ppl who use 4x4 to angkat kelapa sawit

Only those idot thinking off must powerful pickup truck baru blh masuk kebun ,, hahaha ...
Think again ,, why all contactor , businesses own pakai Isuzu ?

This because ,, from every single money are safe from serving, maintaince , spare parts and fuel consumption ..

The only weakens about Dmax is lower HP only ,, but to ask yourself ,, do always drive like rally driver at kebun ?

Do you want to drive a vehicle which can safe your monthly expenses ?
If only u are Kaya ,, then can afford expensive truck like ford ranger .. then don't mind purchase it to mania the truck everyday ...

And if u are average Malaysia working class ,, to bare in mind ,just go ahead with those pickup truck which is reailable , durability and safe fuel in long run ...

Australians are pretty rough with their vehicles even in city, and we carry and tow heavy shit

The top 3 selling trucks are

Hilux
Ranger
Triton

I can only tell you these, the rest you figure out sendiri

Everyone spits on Isuzu here, no idea why and not bothered to find out, I prefer wagon to haul my goods and I don't tow much

do you really need 4x4 capability?
do you think u will get stuck in a lorry or just dusty and muddy at best?
if not, as kebun owner and kerja kampung guy i suggest u look for 1 ton lorry instead
u can haul more, offer transport service to offset your cost (it do cost considerably more in upkeep). but a decent 30 years old toyota hi ace could be had with under 10k. and thats after taking in the cost for adding additional spring, sending it to a good workshop for mechanical make over and such.

if you really need 4x4 and it must be a pickup truck,

user posted image

this is the choice. its leaf sprung in the front. will take any abuse u throw at it. but it commands near 30k price tag. even for a 25 years old car. highly sought after too

if you need new/new-ish truch with loan and all, i would suggest navara np300. contrary to popular malaysian belief, this truck is capable for heavy load
a simple coil helper air bag is all that is needed

2011 Ford Ranger towing four other rival trucks!

https://<link removed>/2012/01/20/video-2011-f...r-rival-trucks/

Ranger tow a total of four black trucks – from the rearmost truck in order we have the previous generation Ranger, the Mitsubishi Triton, the Toyota Hilux, and the Isuzu D-MAX! The feat looked so incredible that Hafiz thought he was looking at a Ford F150 at first, not a Ranger which is a segment below.

coz dmax is made in thai? idk...

i use single cab hilux sr to carry ffb to collection centre. almost 20 years, all dinged up, but ladder frame is still straight, engine still strong altho got emit black smoke during heavy load.

hilux can carry 1 tonne easily. even even close to 2 tonne if u know how to stack the ffb

dmax after 5 years carrying 1-1.5 tonne, the ladder frame become warped, as told by ppl who use it as workhorse, be it private use or as company truck.

I drive a Triton, smooth and quite interior, very car like.,not bumpy at all. Power like crazy. Only downside is makan minyak (maybe I heavy footed cos too much power not to tekan) and expensive maintenance (ranger more expensive).

Hilux more expensive to buy, insurance also more expensive. Very harsh ride.

Dmax fuel efficient, service cheapest compared to the rest. Very durable (I drove a dmax for 12 years). Interior more utilitarian. Would I recommend dmax? Yes I would.

Your company used isuzu dmax as well? Hilux good in sir era, but when isuzu dmax came, our site prefers dmax.

the only isuzu used was trooper but it was the suv. it was fairly ok. but hilux just so robust. 1ton loads 400k km nothing major just maintenance.

n ur source : "dude trust me"

oh the irony.

u want to believe or not is up to u. u belip or not, i didnt lose or gain anything. i merely retelling whats been told by my friends and families.

n btw...im a sabahan laugh.gif

u know why dmax is the best platform for modding? coz the engine is detuned to maximize fuel economy.

btw with same level of tuning, navara can achieve more power than dmax. then again... tuning a car is all about how much money ure willing to throw at the engine.

btw stock dmax 1st gen is notorious for its midrange power dip. get urself 1st gen dmax go drive kundasang hill, ull know what im talking about.

Hilux or Triton for heavy duty use. Navara offers a comfortable ride. Ranger I heard quite manja (high maintenance).

pretty sure thats deliberate tyre failure

funny thing when toyota reached them to try replicate it, it cannot be done that time

try drive it in real life, its stable even on cornering dude
*
nothing to do with tyre failure... and toyota themselves admit the problem, that's why they came up with a specific model in eu to fix this prob... but that's only in eu with nobody going for that nerfed model
