speed for existing customer to be doubled?

100mbps to 200mbps?

That would be costly for them. As far as I know there are 2 fiber strands that go into each house during regular installation. One strand can carry max 50Mbps. So, the most is 100Mbps for each house. Maybe new fiber can carry more but that was the 1st generation cable.

I think fiber to home can carry more than 1 Gbps.
