bro..it's simple logic. Why are you making things so complicated? Get your head out of your ass.

Buy additional 4GB RAM and 256GB SSD - cost is around RM400.
- work get done faster (better chance for promotion and better change for salary increment)
- what is RM400 one time investment compared to what you can achieve with your job?

If later you decided to resign, just take out that parts ans put in back the ori HDD. Nothing else need to be done. The Windows is still in there with everything running.
- sell the 4GB RAM and SSD if you don't need them. Recover back some cost. Probably RM200.

Total investment RM200 to make your life less miserable and perform your job better.

How hard is that to decide?  doh.gif

Increasing the RAM size won't make any impact on the speed at all
Bigger RAM size will only allow you to run more software at once and open more tabs in chrome

You need to do both SSD & RAM upgrade in order to get real speed

I just had a old laptop with win 10 boot up that takes forever. Reformat and reinstall, now work like a charm. It is an i5 with 8GB and spinning HDD.

My take, if your hard disk is healthy, you don't need an SSD, unless on company tab. Reinstall with latest win 10 version is a must. And upgrade RAM when possible.
