Get VLC Player. Or you could get the Dvix codec for Quicktime.

Yes, you can play it in Quicktime if you get the
latest DivX codec.

There's also a wmv one called Flip4Mac.

VLC is the best ...i'm also able to convert avi to dvd using roxio ...great !

vlc sometime crashes too... i use realplayer... it can play many video files too...

I don't really like Real Player. VLC is ad free, no rubbish, do everything media player. Though it did crash a few times when I played a avi file on full screen....

VLC support most of the format, except Real (rm, rmvb.. etc). So if you want view Real, you have to get realplayer. No choice.. biggrin.gif

VLC crashes when i watch too much pr0n.
And also in fullscreen mode when i move the mouse too much or just skip to a fav (money shot) scene too many times.

I think i prefer Perian LINK cos it's free and you can view AVI in QuickTime Player..

My vote for VLC too.

BTW - thanks to civic98 and siawgu for the links. Perian works well.

just update your quicktime ..and there's already AVI codec ..
