hahahah...one interesting thing i learn is to never ask just supplier or developer to quote price or advantage. always ask other operator since they are the one who used it in operation thus know better what need to. plus this company always want to sell stuff thus everything all dip in honey glaze.

remember something happen in past...about SAR capabilities of govt agency(forgot if its bomba,SMART,military or what). this person goes to defense expo and ask the developer or company there about SAR cost. of course they quote the minimum cost (since he did not specify it) and that person used it as based to slam those agency who over charge the payment.

little did he known SAR cover a lot of thing from sea,land to mountain and required a lot of gear for operation plus condition of weather. people thought just because we get SAR capabilities,then we can go to all those condition unharmed and get mission done.

Singapore build up its military as they are tiny island nation surround by all big nation thus they feel threaten and need to defend themselves. plus they have not a good memories with neighbor.

nope...out artillery cannot do shit to them..remember we need time to mobilize and move our asset to position or reaction time. Malaysian maybe good but Singapore is better. they involve in a lot of exercise in and out of country compare to its neighbor thus better reaction time.

by the time we move our asset to position,their F16 and F15 even 1/3 of number will enter our airspace and obliterate military installment from johor up to pahang. they bomb up runaway,hangar,radar and communication thus we cannot do thing. and that is 1/3 of their AF fighter,not include navy and other.

but remember no one want war and with war,the trade route(selat melaka and other)will be affected thus other big superpower may take action to protect their interest. not a good move for any nation here.

they have artillery counter system made in Israel. really good to counter artillery thus its not a good option. plus moving asset will cause a lot of fuss this day from politician to citizen so they will know. and dont forget Singapore have their own human intelligence here snooping around.

so far navy and TD on better way than RMAF. navy just halfway with 15-5 plan while TD AV8,little bird and lipanbara a bit slow in progress it will sure in track.

problem now with RMAF as they keep hinting they need new asset(MRCA and MPA) to support their duty but with in new budget,those thing not mention.

firstly bro,whatever it is never ever trust advertising and marketing until you yourself seen the actual product does what its intend to. its goes to smartphone,food(McDonald) and of coz defense equipment.

secondly, i thought there is the buy another turkish military hardware...isn't the AV8 is JV with 2 countries company...??

lastly, price alone not the thing we need to consider in term of military procurement. a lot of thing need to be consider as well from national policy(why we not buying from Israel directly although our neighbor buying it like fire sale ), political will,strategy,compatibility (across platform as well within service) and a lot of thing.


the best thing to be considered imo is support. just look how LM support F16 and Boeing support F18, those 2 fighter got upgrade and support from more than 2 decade. imagine what country/company able to do that. plus now some of them got 5th gen hardware integrated into it making it even deadlier than before.

but considering our next in line for PM got close ties with Turkish president maybe we can see a lot of turkish made hardware into our military...

another is to stop any idea of produce military asset whit cop 'made in malaysia'...if the gowind is build at french fully and we just ask another route of offset(french company invest a lot if malaysia or tax free for malaysia export or import) the cost would be down considerably and we already got new shining ship by now...do that to most of project we can save a lot of things....

now if we tried to explain it to citizen about why we should've have done that (increase spending and no build/made in Malaysia),pretty sure they will make noise....that will be the challenge of new people in govt...good luck to them
