As mentioned above how do your differentiate a DSLR from the above categories with an original DSLR?

Lately heard that a shop in mahkota melaka selling such products so just 1 2 clarify it

original DLSR is given waranty card tht match the serial number on both the body and waranty card. tht's as far as i know...

having waranty card is not enuf , proof of purchase oso needed to claim for waranty or service....

correct me if i m wrong...

how 2 check the serial number on the body? lets say a nikon D80? can we like call nikon office and verify the serial num before buying it?

i dont own a d80, but my nikon serial is on the underside

the shop should be able to provide u the body S/N n waranty card tht match tht S/N..

i think underwater dslr cannot claim warranty 1 la~...

yup got one in times square there mybuddy or something

anyway underwater means they import directly from overseas, by passing our local distributor...hence warrnaty is back to the "country" they imported....

box + camera serial number may be the same, but it wont be accepted by local distributor for warranty claim as your serial number wont be in their system...anyway its cheaper by rm200 - rm400 kinda worth it if u feel that warrnaty is a waste of money

any shops in kl do u all know selling this grey products? would like to avoid them though
