Hi all,

I'm 95% of fully ultilize my 6TB storage and my external hdd which i use to connect to my Himedia Q10 for 4K titles. Now i need advice on how you guys keep your files and best way in i can expand in future.

I saw Lazada selling HDD docking 4 bay but most them from china and not much review + the price not cheap. What the best way keeping all the media yet i can view from my Himedia when i need to? Prefer lowest budget as possible or best for bucks solutions.

Thanks

You need a NAS, the dlink nas is a good budget option. If you want better can look at qnap or synology but its more expensive.

I have used this Hotway Probox 4bay docking station for many years. It's my favourite because I only need to switch on the drives I want to use individually.

use the portable HDDs as they are... until they break down.

the usual culprit is the sata bridge.

when it breaks down, remove the casing, remove the bridge, keep the bare sata drive.

plug it into this, good for 2.5, 3.5".

u want it cheap, this is your cheap + effective solution. rm125 from archgon, find in any IT store.

there are also multiple dock models, models with usb connectors.
