I want to download a free antivirus software for my computer but dunno which one better,don't believe online list because last time I tried Avira and Avast both like shit,slow down my pc only .
System : Windows 10
RAM: 4GB
Processor : Intel i5

If avast slow down your pc. I think no other anti-virus suitable for you except windows 10 (Windows defender).

Ur using Windows 10 and thinking to get free antivirus software....dude windows 10 already included with antivirus software that is windows defender. But if ur still insist to use other program, ur can try "smadav" highly recomended

many anti-virus take up alot of ram that's why u will feel lag..
i use the microsoft defender + malwarebyte only for like 5 years more so far so good

Clam is antivirus. But the clam if free so no real-time protection. Now open source create another name Clam Sentinel, so with Clam n Clam sentinel, u got real-time protection

This comodo. Its free. You can choose anti virus, but i prefer internet security

Cons: Not suitable for person who dont know computer. They will popup what should I do for unknown program

Don't use AV software at all. Nowdays we can't trust to AV software vendors (what do they do with your personal data?). Finally, AV very often treat good software (but packed by some packer like boxedapp, or turbo, or vmprotect) as malware and at the same time threats real malware as good software! My opinion is that AV industry exists only because of aggressive marketing. No more. Wash your hands with water, don't install strange software from strange websites, keep your Windows fresh. And you will not need AV. Dixi!

Windows defender is ok as long as you discipline yourself. Bitdefender free ver is pretty good. For paid, I have been using Nod32 for over 8 years.

Due to this the antivirus software cost drop a lot.
