hi guys, anyone here can advice what is the best timing for me to cross over the border to Singapore on a Saturday? This 30th of June to be exact.

Is it closer to 12PM so that all the work traffic entering SG is over?

Also this is my first time driving in, what I need is:

1) valid malaysian car insurance
2) valid road tax
3) driver's license
4) passport
5) buy autopass card
6) what else ya?

also, on Saturday & Sundays, within Singapore need to pay toll?

thankss

VEP is exempted for first 10 days per calendar year.
If you drive thru via Woodlands, you only pay the toll upon exit singapore.
For Tuas, toll chargeable for both enter and exit and is more expensive than Woodlands.
RRC also pay upon exit only.
Within SG if you drive thru roads with ERP operating hour then you need to pay as per charged if you have the IU installed in your car otherwise it is charged at S$5 flat per day, also payable upon exit only.

In other words, all tolls and road charges are payable upon exit Singapore.
Thus make sure you top up ur Autopass before exit Singapore with sufficient credit to avoid inconvenience.

Btw, bring along ur car grant too just in case, and a blue or black inked pen to fill up the white card and form to apply autopass.

thanks so much for your input, MiLKTea, is there any better advantage of entering through Tuas instead of Woodlands? Less traffic?

Not sure bro...i have always entered via woodlands...

Clearing MY mmigration is ok, clearing SG immigration might take 1hr due to the crowd.

But it's the same when you exit Singapore.
When entering Malaysia, will take 1hr also to clear MY immigration.

Parking is easier to get than kl

Parking rates differ everywhere.. so if want budget, have to Google in advance.. I parked once in orchard road paid expensive parking charged by the time one but opposite the building another building charging flat rate..

Always look at the cameras before departing (if you depart from anywhere within 30 kilometers of a CIQ) :

U can pay your parking using autopass for most car park. But i kept a spare Cashcard just in case coz i experience my autopass couldn't work in some car park before. U can also use autopass for train and bus.

For free parking rates, u can check here:
https://www.motorist.sg/article/193/free-pa...-singapore-2018

There is also free parking from 7.00am to 10.30pm on Sundays and Public Holidays in majority HDB car parks.
