If you enjoy lots of quest, i suggest skyrim. Technically, no fetch quest, most quest has their own storyline, the game itself is interesting, HUGE modding community makes it alot more fun. I may need to warn that the main story is kinda lacking, but the adventure itself + modding is certainly satisfying, with texture mods and other enhancement mods it can easily be on par with most modern games in terms of graphics. Make sure you get Special Edition, old one is limited in many ways. This is by far, a classic that never gets outdated, Original skyrim was released back in 2011, 7 years later today, theres still at least 5-6 new mods added daily, and yes people is still playing.

Witcher 3 has a similar dark-ish setup as skyrim, presented in a more interesting way. Contrasting Skyrim, this has a solid main storyline and a stunning backdrop. Healthy modding community too. Good game overall and recommended.

GTA, is setup in our current era, non-fantasy world. Fun game overall, easily hooked, with a decent amount of laughter and silly things to do. Personally, nothing to shout about in terms of graphics even with modding. Simple and easily understood game mechanics, quest are rather silly but fun. To summarize, timeless silly fun around town with solid main story + drama.

Based on the 2 games you mentioned (fable/YS), im not sure which YS you're reffering too(assuming Lacrimosa of Dana), personally, i would not even categorize these games together(first 3 aforementioned above). These are livelier games, with more touch of Action-JRPG kind of games. Fun in its own way, but needs to be approached differently to avoid disappointment.

Apart from the 3 suggested above, i would like to recommend Fallout 4 as well, another very good game if you enjoy quests and exploration. Theres so much to do, i clocked around 130hours on my first playthrough and currently has 400+ hours in Fallout 4 and 500+ in Skyrim. On GTA, around 100 hour-ish, GTA fun wears me out quick, i cant binge GTA like i do in fallout and skyrim.

If i recall correctly, my Vice City was on Pentium 4(Prescott if im not wrong, or could be older chip) + TOP OF THE LINE GEFORCE 4 TI with 300MHZ CORE CLOCK AND 128MB of RAM, yes you read that right young gamers, there's such thing as 128mb of VRAM, heck i remember my older Voodoo card has 32mb. Where 30 fps was the ultimate and everything else breaks at 60fps one point or another lol. Phase change and nitro was cool back then and watercooling is 100% custom and they dont come in a box, yes we used motorcycle radiators, gas pipe as hoses and fish aquarium pumps as pumps.

Sorry, nostalgia triggered. laugh.gif

Brings back memories, good PC games we're so limited and console were dominating, so any fun games that is ever released on a PC, definitely gets multiple run troughs.

Im old now and certainly reflex has degraded, First Person Mode gives me headache, but gaming fun never wears out on me! In fact, as of late being more free of corporate commitments, i spend 50% of my waking time now gaming laugh.gif, catching up what i missed during life's greatest rat race.
