Play GTR2 then. Also, the Z4 M's widebodykit is exactly (well, almost) the same like the Petronas enduro racer/Super Taikyu racer widebody (including the vents on the rear fenders).

Also, Speed Challenge in a Skyline = yawn.gif . Feel like using another car, would the E46 M3 GTR-look cut it? I don't know, I can either go PTG ALMS skinning or LeMans BMW Motorsport skinning.

And any ATI users experiencing bugs? Like random colour changes on rims, missing parts, etc.

*
change of rim colors here laugh.gif especially after a big crash.....and the game froze for 10 seconds yesterday.....dunno why. probably my drivers restarted or something. using x1950xtx btw

u can adjust the setting under Tune menu and look for suspension setting(if i'm not mistaking)...u can set the steering to be quick or less responsive...another option is to adjust your keyboard repeat rate under window control panel(this has been highlighted in the readme file)....

However, i would suggest you change it in the game tune menu since different race mode requires different steering rate...for drifting and grip event u might want it to be quick so u can steer faster and reduce the amount of understeer biggrin.gif .....but for drag and speed challenge u might want to set the steering to be less responsive since a quick turn or steering during high speed would make your car more difficult to control rclxub.gif ...plus during drag and speed challenge there are no tight turn or hairpin along the circut...

generally for me the game is more interesting now with damage effect and simulation type of driving difficulties thumbup.gif ...so i cannot simply play dirty (by ramming into other car) especially at tight turn (which i like to do before) to gain my position..u have to take care of your race machine coz that's what u going to do if u are racing in the real life sweat.gif

i've been playing this game with my logitech gamepad which is more easier to me...i play the grip event by disabling Stability Control, Traction control and ABS..during the race can simply drift during a tight turn and hairpin icon_idea.gif ...but i'm still wondering whether we can do a low cost repair such as stiching or tape our broken bumper like shown in the promo and intro movie  unsure.gif
*
lol i love the way when i disable ABS i need to tap the brakes like in real life thumbup.gif

the low cost repairs have been ommitted from the final game. yeah, you pay a tad more, but then again, my bumper usually falls off by the end of a race tongue.gif

chapree - you so fast finish off drag king already ka? tongue.gif i added you already, later i'll see if can create a race day for LYNers tongue.gif

yeah, to me they named the game wrongly. ProStreet means 'beyond the streets' which is in context with the gameplay but somehow the 'street' in the name reminds me of underground 1 and 2. laugh.gif

Just got the game. And anyways, I feel that they are more focusing on European market even tho teh cars and races are mostly american. Don't believe me? Take a look at these 2 famous european track and tell me which track in ProStreet that looks like it.

not really; you still get the tokyo docks district, and for those who don't know, are the areas which members of the midnight club frequent, the texas world speedway and the desert races as well.
its all proportionate, really, and i bloody hate texas the most. Totalled there about 30 times already doh.gif

Carbon is ok, but the drifting suck..
Love doing drifting on NFS U2..
So, anyone.. how is the drifting in Prostreet..??

drifting in PS separates the fanbois and the real virtual drifters. the cars handle like real drift cars

Actually it's still easy. Try drifting in Live for Speed. Now that's real
*
dang, i forgot about LFS. doh.gif

okay, i stand corrected.

drifting in PS is waaay more realistic than the other crappy franchise games you may think of, from outrun to juiced, BUT, there is no better feeling than drifting though the whole track without ANY form of driving aid (please bear in mind that this is still on a virtual context) in LFS or any other real driving simulators (GranTurismo included).

one thing i really like about LFS is that cold tyres will really affect a drift. biggrin.gif but then again i hate LFS because it forces me to get a proper driving wheel which is cumbersome to setup and even more cumbersome to live with on a day-to-day basis since i don't play racing games that often XD

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Nov 24 2007, 09:15 AM)
Lol, I use keyboard, and now want to challenge that M3 grip king.
Some tips that I use when playing this game
- Short on money? replay races where it's easy and collect money there. There is no rush to go to the next race with a shitty car. I replayed the first few races over and over and over so that I had enough money to buy myself a decent car and upgrades.
- Grip racing needs a well balanced car. A fast car might have more top end, but is heavier and will struggle to stop in time. A slower car meanwhile will lose out on the straight. Go for cars that fall in the middle of this category for grip. The pagani Zonda, while does not have the fastest straight line, is nimble in the corners, and have a high exit speed, thus you CAN outdrag a faster car after a slow hairpin.
- For Drag, go for muscle car. Nuff said
- Don't trust the racing line help. Turn it off and learn the track by yourself. You'd be suprise on how fast you can go without it.
- Light car are good for drifting. It can change direction quickly. Also set it up so that it will not have snap oversteer.

One thing that bothers me is that the slipstreaming effect is not well simulated. While in rFactor or GTR2 or Live for Speed, if I have even a sniff of the slipstream of the car ahead, I will be quickly pulled by it, in ProStreet, it seems like it's fully absent. in real life, If you are behind a car that is using NOS, chances are you can match it's speed because the car in front is suffering from wind drag and you are being toed by him.
*
about the slipstreaming effect, you DO get to enjoy the slipstream, as evidenced in the oval track and the speed races. Yes, it might not feel as if you're being 'sucked' into the rear of the car, at least, because it does not happen like that in real life. seriously. about the NOS thing, that's quite true though, but i do realize that cars using the drag spoiler (the last on the list, gentera 403) has less of a slipstream effect the closer i come, as evidenced in the last few speed races with ryo. I was using the lambo btw. tongue.gif

agree with you on all the points above except for the fact that you went grip racing with the zonda. you damn rich, man laugh.gif laugh.gif

RM 145? What? I think that's like 10 - 20 bucks more. Where did you get it?  unsure.gif
In your opinion, what's the best car for Ebisu?  hmm.gif
*
heh? u sure ah? i surveyed around LYP because i was lazy to survey other places, so i bought it as Sri comp, which had it 20 bucks cheaper than thundermatch which was 5 bucks cheaper than all IT. the smaller shops did not carry the PC version. doh.gif i used the Evo X all the way baby, 4wd roxxors

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Nov 24 2007, 10:50 AM)
lol, I spend 6 hours last night racing and reracing the same meet day just to get that Zonda. Not to mention I sold off all cars that I've won. Now I only have the Zonda, the original S13, HachiRoku for drifting, and 2 muscle car for speed and drag.
*
shakehead.gif shakehead.gif you very hardcore man thumbup.gif i reccommend Art Money. Easier to earn money that way wink.gif how much did the repairs for light damage cost? O.o

LMAO then your tuning must be good enough so that it retains 100% grip 100% all the time. Which means no powerslides, drifting or understeer notworthy.gif gotta try this when i get back
