Kev and I did similar stuff before with Carbon drift mode. But for NFPS, I'm extending it to other modes as well.

So, sometime next week, I will put a list I called LYN Street Kings at the 1st post. The list contained list of dudes and duddets with highest score or fastest time on respective mode in NFSPS. Each mode will feature one circuit, which will be changed at the first week of each month. That means, every month, we got new circuits. We going to do this until most of us or at least I myself get bored the hell out of this.

Oh, PRIZES? Let's see how good the response is. I do have some free stuff in my closet. Don't expect big big prize or money and if you want to donate some prizes, you are more than welcome. Last time during NFSU2 Drift Challenge (right, Abang Kev?), HWM even gave away a graphic card. Of course, due to logistic capability, prizes are only for Malaysians ah...later, VGSpeedPro comes here and terrorized you guys, there's no way I'm paying shipping charges to Portugal.

This NBTD challenge are also OPEN TO CONSOLES. Tell your 360, PS2 and PS3 friends that. If got Wii, also can, although I don't really know how NFSPS work on Wii.

So for now, suggest what track you want for January'08 LYN Street King Challenge. State the mode as well.

That's a very good idea. But it would restrict some fellas that playing at cybercafe. You know how strict EA online system is, sometimes you can't connect to EA Nation from cybercafe.

Nope, I got no problem. If slow connection to EA Nation, that one normal. EA server pretty slow since...dunno la.
But then, I haven't try racing with human opponent online because I still got no Gold account ler.

Good idea on the ghost! But it still doesn't stop people from cheating although I don't know what cheat you can use with ProStreet. Another thing is I need someone to checkout the ghosts for the challenge then since I got no PC.

Exactly. One of the solution I had in mind is since these days everybody have at least a camera phone or a webcam, competitor must took a picture of their records using a camera. If they really don't have a camera or their screenshots are doubtful, then we use the ghost option. Of course, need to checkout how the ghost option works first.

That's why I came out with the photo taking solution.

Alright folks, let's get the tourney running!
The basic rules is at the first post. There's still some stuff to be added, so hold your horses alright?

For starters, this challenge will start 12am of January 14 till 12 am of February 11. I'm going to change the circuit sets every two weeks.
So, below are the first set of circuits -

Drift: Noise Bomb Org - Ebisu - Drift Course A
Drag: React Team Sessions - Tokyo Dockyard - 1/4 Mile Drag using Honda Civic
Grip: Geffect - Willow Springs - GP Circuit Reverse
Speed: Super Promotion - Nevada Highway II - Nevada Highway C

For Drag, since all drag circuits are almost the same, to give a fair playing level, I decided that you must use only 1 car which you can still upgrade to the max. The car will be updated together with the circuit so you will not stuck with one car for the rest of the competition. For this one, I decided on Honda Civic. Not the Civic Si, but the Civic...everybody got that car at Battle Machine what...

How to post your screenshots? I'll post that later when I get back home. Or at least by tmrw's noon.
Prizes? I will confirm it by next Friday. Let me sort it out first. Don't get your hopes too high, ok?

No and yes.
You can use whatever car except Zonda, bonus car and hacked one.
In other words, only Career cars.

If I'm not mistaken, Xbox 360 gamepad used the same basic setting for both PC and 360.

So, the basic default setting (based on 360 version) are:
Trigger (the lower shoulder button) R - accel.
Trigger L - brake
R1 - Not used
L1 - Clutch

Right analog stick - gear shift
Left analog stick - directional

A - Handbrake
B - NOS
X - Change view
Y - Look back

Select - reset car
Directional button - to toggle map, racing line etc.

That's the main one I think...if i'm not mistaken.
For PC, you can change them in options anyway.

The reason behind the restricted cars in drag is since drag are just one way straight line regardless whatever circuit is there, I can't think of other thing to balance the challenge apart from restricting the car.
Don't worry, two weeks only mah, then change new car.
