The glossy thingy they mentioned before is just aesthetic value . It's the LCD case's finish , that's it . Some popular LCD with glossy case are like Samsung R7 , 226BW etc .... Older style LCD used metallic finish .

Depends on which dell 19" . You won't buy it in your whole life ? I already got a unit myself and typing on it now . Picture and color quality ? It's assurance . Gaming with PC and x360 , even PC tasking is a charm working on this monitor . Have you being phobia where a viewsonic LCD drops upon you while you're sleeping ? No offense to the joke .

Bro , unfortunately no . Playing at the native resolution is just overkill for the poor 8600GT . Without playing the game beforehand ,as we know , Lost Planet is totally an unoptimized PC port . Applying AA means further death .

COH is more to CPU speed for acceptable framerate AFAIK , and this mostly apply to strategy games because of the units amount . Overlord should be fine , and others DX9 games should be fine too . But at 1680x1050 , just try to compensate a little with lower details if the card can't do it .
