Why suddenly here become Dell thread already? 

Is it normal for LCD monitor to dissipate quite a lot of heat? Especially at the back/top part of it. It's hotter than my previous 17" CRT.

Dell users, specifically 2407 series. How are you guys deal with this? Or just ignore it?

oic...hmmm..how come my dell 17" lcd can chnage resolution without affecting the positioning?

Oppss sorry, i'm new to wide screen monitor. what i'm asking is, emm..i base on the dell17" lcd for this example because i only used this LCD before only.
there is a button in the monitor which "auto adjust".

my 22" like dont have this function. correct me if i'm wrong.

Agreed. Never watch widescreen in 4:3. THe picture will be off and it will appear stretched.

bcoz of higher native reso., it will appear jaggy a bit, maybe sit a little further from the screen then u ll feel better
re u sure it will be stretched? isnt it will just leave two black bars at the left right corner?

hey guys..sorry for a noob question here..
i wanna noe if there are any 20-22" lcd monitors that can oso be used as a tv? i noe there are lcd tv's dat has pc input,i was wondering if there are any monitors with other forms of input too?

i was actually thinking of getting a new widescreen monitor bout 20-22" with less than rm1500,n i want to use it as a regular tv for my ps2 n maybe in d future ps3..any such monitor exist?

It's not DELL's fault. I've been using the monitor for quite sometimes already. The ant is still alive and fortunately it went away I guess most likely its the design flaw whereby they did not seal the LCD panel tight to prevent ants from crawling into the panel.    Never faced such problem with my old samsung 172x.

Where can I find my service tag code for DELL E228WFP LCD Monitor?

If that is so, how do we report a problem or make a warranty claim with DELL?

Yup it's definitely the ancient gfx card. Last time I was playing Far Cry with 6800GT on the 20" monitor n the mse cursor was lagging like hell. Cant even aim properly. It was purely the gfx  lagging. After I changed to the 7950GX2 the cursor was smooth as babies bottoms.

i paid using CC. should be instant paid right? yeah, i already email back Lydia about this. Hope it not too late yet. Btw, they are working on Saturday?
