All 22" are TNs right now, however the smaller models have PVA/MVA and IPS panels as well.

i think most 19"-22" LCD are TN panel? can see their price is quite proportional, and its price upped drastically after 22"

There are some from IPS, PVA and MVA. For example DELL 2007WFP 20" widescreen... arc_archive is selling his' and it is S-IPS.

of course more expensive than TN panel because of its better quality and better viewing angle.

The least expensive Full HD LCD monitor from Samsung. First 24" TN panel. Good new for gamers, nothing impressive for graphics designer. Hold on to your money first - those who owns a 8800GTS and above, and decided to get a 22". More low end 24" will enter the market soon.

Samsung 245B

This baby can even tilt and rotate, besides the height adjustment.

hoho... while a large monitor is best for movie viewing, and that only if u re sitting quite a distance from the monitor. But when comes to gaming, and normal usage where u can't sit too far from the screen, anything greater than 22" will make our eyes tiresome, due to increase in eyeball movement and neck movement. laugh.gif

just my opinion.

Awesome review. Thanks for sharing. The features of the monitor are awesome, minus the design and the not-so-low price. mellow.gif With the small price difference, I would rather get a Dell 24" which has better design and viewing angle.

Btw, was the code 245B or 245BW? Samsung say its 245BW.

I mean compared the US price of both monitors. Although it might not be that accurate, as the Malaysian price for some Dell monitors are even cheaper than US itself based on the USD dollar to RM conversion rate. laugh.gif

If based on the newegg link I've posted. It should be roughly around RM 1790. I'm actually hoping for something around 1.5K-1.6K range.

Need to see more reviews to see how the input lag is. I'm one of those people that always notice tearing, and always notice if input lag. Quite hate it when most of my friends can play without having to have vsync on.

just to add: if got 1:1 mapping, means that if we set the 1280x1024 resolution on a wide screen, the screen will just positioned in center and no stretching at all?

btw, LG L196WT have 1:1 mapping or not?
